Sid The Science Kid on PBS (Jim Henson productions)

I know this is slightly OT - shirt-tail Disney related through Jim Henson.

I just wanted to say that my DD found the Sid the Science Kid website on PBSKids last week and it premiered on PBS here this week - she is hooked like a fish! It is an adorable show and she has learned a TON from it already. It has also piqued her interest in scientific investigation in general. It's on here twice a day (same episode both times) - 8:30 am and 5:00 pm (central time). I have to admit, I have enjoyed it too!

My two boys love this show as well. We have watched the shows multiple times (thanks to DVR)! The boys really like to hear Sid singing.

PBSKids dot org is the site for the kids games - my DD has learned sign language from Arthur, science from Sid, and so much more - it's the only place she's allowed to go online and I think it's pretty great!

I saw this. Not the show, but the taping of the show. On the Backstage Magic tour offered by Adventures by Disney, one of the things offered is a studio tour of the Jim Henson Company. And when we were there, we got to see a little bit of how they filmed the show.

I"m glad to see the show is finally on the air, because they had to put in alot of work for just a few seconds of film.

Of course when our pumpkin was out on our front step a little longer than it should have, we had to really investigate it rather than just get the thing to the compost plie stat!

Really great show, though - I hope it does well.

My DD4 loves the songs. "I love my mom, my mom is cool...". The repetitiveness is great!!

Sid the Science Kid is a huge hit at our house. DS loves it. He has been singing a song about charts for days. He also calls himself an "American Science Kid".

Both of my boys totally love this show!!! They are 5 1/3 and 3. I must admit that I find myself singing the catchy little songs too!! lOL!

Oh my oldest daughter just loves Sid! I also have never thought to check out the website!
