I will be in WDW December 3-10. I'd love to lead a group with four to six other families who will be there November 26-December 10.
I led a share in May, and it was very successful.
Here were our guidelines:
-Most of our communication was via email.
-I pre-ordered the CD to further reduce the cost.
-Each family made their payment via PayPal one month before the first family began their vacation. This included their portion of the CD cost, shipping supplies and shipping. CDs were included as I had a ton of blank CDs at the time. I may still have plenty when December rolls around, so I wouldn't anticipate paying for the blank CD. It was just under $25 for our share of five families.
-Each representative (it was the mom of the family in our cases) was given the PhotoPass login and password upon their return from WDW/DLR.
-Each family had a window to upload all of their PhotoPass cards so all of their pictures would be together. Also, this way, it was easier for me to distinguish families, and no one else received anyone else's family photos. Edits could be made at any time before the final deadline, as edits would stay next to their originals.
-We had a soft deadline approximately a week before I ordered the CD for delivery. Most families were finished before the soft deadline, and we ordered the CD about a week early. The hard deadline was 3 days before the pictures expired.
-As soon as the CD arrived, I burned it (including the copyright release), packed it and shipped it. Most families received their pictures two to three days after I received the original.
It was pretty cut and dry, and we were all pleased with our pictures and the PhotoPass Share process.
I also gave the members the option of meeting up with me at WDW just to put a name with a face and to make sure I was who I said I was. I will offer the same in December (if we are in the park at the same time).
Unique to this trip will be the great holiday picture opportunities! It would be great to get our CD before Christmas (or your holiday of choice), so I may try to expedite the upload/editing process in December.
***ETA: If the group votes to use Express Shipping from Disney PhotoPass/Priority Shipping from USPS to get the pictures ASAP during the holiday rush, it will add approximately $7 per person.***
