I just got off the phone with the safari club. You are supposed to get a $5 certificate for birthday and $5 certificate for anniversay. We get ours around now. I called them and this is what I was told. Everything is now emailed. If they don't have your email you won't get the certificates. They did have my email and they claim they emailed me the certificates last month. I never received them and I don't have any filters on my email. Conclusion, they say they emailed, I said I never received them, tough luck for me. They will however send me a $5 certificate as a thank you.

So my question is, has everyone been getting their gift certificates and if so, by email or regular mail.

I am so furious because my son loves the place and that is the only incentive I have in going there.

Now that you mention it -- we haven't gotten any e-mails from them in a long time. Guess I'll have to call and see whats up.

Thanks

Have been getting everything by email for awhile now - I know I got a free volcano around Mother's Day and my bday certificate came first of August.

I haven't gotten anything in years. I just assumed they don't give the certificates anymore. I guess I have to call tomorrow too. I am planning on a Nov trip and could use any help I can get.

I get the emails about twice a year. I wish they would get on the dining plan.

I have not recieved emails from them in years. BUT everytime i show the card we get 10% off the bill. AND pretty much front of the line with little or no wait. I have had the card for over 10 years and still keep it handy...just in case.

I got emails for both my birthday & sign up anniversary this summer.
Which was great as my son loves the place so we went twice while at DL.
I tried to use one on a sale or clearence tshirt tho & cashier said I couldn't. I was kinda ticked as it didn't say anywhere that it couldn't be used.

We also showed the card and only waited about 10 minutes to be seated and used the card for free appetizer rather than 10% off.
Usually I never get a dessert while eating out - we tried their Banana Foster (or similar name) wow was it the best.

1) We get emails from Safari club at least once per month.
2) We got the birthday & anniversay coupon via email.

I don't like that you have to GO there to become a member of their club. I'd like to sign up now before I get there.

Unless there's a trick to signing up early I don't know about??

We get the emails pretty often....I would say every month or two.

IMHO, the card is worth it for the almost-immediate seating. We usually go to the one in DTD and Atlantic City and both usually have long waits (2+ hours isn't unusual). We have never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes with the card and usually it is much faster!

Thanks to OP for the heads up on the e-mail contact method. It made me realize that I had not received my standard birthday and anniversary $5 off cards in the mail in quite a while. I called the Safari Club and they did not have an e-mail address on file for me. They added it, so hopefully I'll get something before I leave for WDW in 10 days :)!!

I tried to sign up in advance by contacting them but I was told the only way to join was at a location. I have NOT been getting any emails from them, I did update my email on the membership screen.

Thanks, updated mine too. I can't remember the last time we got special coupons. :confused3

I was also told they were emailing. They even sent me a test email and it went to my inbox. I even added the email address to my contacts. This was two months ago and I have not recevied anything since.

How often are people getting emails?

Got my B-Day cert. 2 weeks ago. I get one email a month from them

At one time, I read that you must use your Safari Club card at least once a year in order for your Membership to remain in good standing. If you have not used your card in more than a year, it is possible that your membership was frozen. You can call and pay a slight fee and have it reinstated if that is the case. We've had to do that with our own membership before.

We've had our Safari Club card since 2001. I get advertisement e-mails from RFC all the time. We just ate there at WDW in July. It's always been one of our favorite restaurants. My B-day is later this month and haven't seen anything yet but ya never know. :rolleyes1
