Still willing to design for anyone who would like some.

Just remember to PM request.

Just got back! Decorated my own room, and the adjoining one (I did the second one as a surprise, though). We had a third room, didn't get a picture, but it was just some princess abd pooh window clings.

Also did the doors with Mickey Heads- mine had LG and a "sign in" sheet, the adjoining room had assorted colours. Unfortunately, the sign in Mickey Heads remained empty, as I was in an unused hall way (I only ever saw two famalies other then our own it it). My family felt sorry for me, so they left messages on them for me. Then Fay half-blew my sheet off, so I gave up and took it down.

Pictures of the windows (sorry about the reflections):
PS- coudln't get the pictures to stand upright, so you'll just have to tilt your heads:rolleyes1

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how is everyone getting their window clings to stick and face outward

I don't want to put them on the outside of the window becasue I'm afraid they might get taken :sad2: , but if I place them on the inside they'll be facing the wrong direction :confused3

Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks! :goodvibes

technically, only words would be backwards if put on inside vs outside... right? LOL

Are you making your own window clings? Sha is correct if there are no words in the design it won't matter, if there are words just mirror image/reverse image before you print. :thumbsup2

It was easy! I used the mickey heads from Home Depot, and just laid them out on a piece of paper (not straight, sort of up and down and some a little tilty). One mickey head per letter. Then I trimmed around the mickey heads, just curving over both ears so I didn't have to do as much cutting. I glued them on the paper before cutting them out. We have them hanging on our bedroom doors at home now!:cool1:

Have fun!

I don't know if I got a different "kind"- I bought my Princess and Winnie-the-Pooh ones at Dollarama- but I put them on the inside of the window, with the design facing the window, and they stayed.

I originally put them with the design facing inside, but from the outside it looked horrible, so I just flipped them. With a little bit of moisture (aka spit;)) they stayed on for my entire trip (8 days) no problem.

Only one cling wouldn't stay on, and that's because it wasn't exactly a cling (I cut it out from the title thing of the cling page:rolleyes1)

Hope I was of some help!

The last couple of times I decorated own window at the hotel, my clings were just backward but this year I have bought a roll clear basket wrap and I'm going to put everything on that and then tape that up in the corners of the window. I hope it works. :-)

Oh no, I'm not making my own, just the store-bought ones :cutie: I just don't like the way they look from the outside if you have the clings facing inward.

ITA about them not looking as good if you put them with the design facing inward, I'll have to give what you said a try. Maybe the moisture is the "secret" I was missing lol :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone who responded! :goodvibes

I bought some clings from a flea market. They are very pretty they look like foil stickers, but they will only work if I put them outside the window. Most clings can stick either way but the ones that look like foil stickers usually only stick one way. I don't know any way to fix it.

I always put mine on the outside of the window (never even thought about putting them on the inside!) and I've only had 1 taken in about 5 trips, so I guess I've been lucky!

On my last trip I put on widow clings on the outside of the window and they were safe. No one even touched them. :)

Just make sure you stick them on really well, bubble and wrinkle free. I used a washcloth and wet the window first.

The Dollar Tree has very nice cling on decorations. We use long stem, colorful flowers on our daughters walls. It comes with butterflies, bugs, grass, and the flowers for a buck. I never thought of decorating our widow, but will this year. I am excited to do this.

I remember reading on another thread (which I can't find now) that some Dissers were putting together a box of decorations to pass around @Pop (kinda like a fridge swap...I remember the Disser who had the idea needed someone to take over the thread b/c she was pregnant...if that rings a bell...) Does anyone here know if this box still exists? I would like to add/donate my window/door decorations after we are done with them if it does (rather than bring them home!) :surfweb:
