It's so nice and quiet. Even though Pete is here and a 21 month old Jason.

Now I need to clean this pit of a house after a long summer....I can't wait. I want my house back!

No! You are not a bad mother! My kids don't go back until Wed. and I didn't think I was ready to let them go until Annalise pitched a mega fit today and in all her flailing smacked Lexi in the lip with a Barbie. I just looked at them and said...so when does the bus come?

Sept. 3rd here. Honestly I feel our summer was pretty short. Our schools didn't end until the 27th of June..and now they are starting a bit earlier being that Labor Day actually falls on the Sept. 1st this year. We always start the first Wed. after Labor Day.
Was at the Orthodontist with my son earlier today and they were giving next appts in six weeks..and that was OCTOBER! I can not believe how quickly this year is going.
How is it that the older I seem to get, the quicker the years seem to pass. When you're a child a week seems to be an eternity..now it's the blink of an eye.

School began today in Polk County, Fl. Now, they get tomorrow & Wednesday off courtesy of Fay!!

my vacation was short lived. School is closed tomorrow due to the storm.

I am glad I didn't start cleaning the house yet!

We get out of school here the second week of June and go back the day after Labor Day. So we have a couple more weeks yet. I am always excited when the kids get out of school for the summer because we get to sleep in and have a much less hectic schedule. But by the end of the summer I am always happy when they go back to school and we get back to our normal routine. I like having the house to myself during the day !!

DD9 has been back in school for a week now. I'm glad to be back in the routine of school!

DD 8 started July 17... cycle break starts the 18th of Sept goes back 10/13


DD 17 went back the 12 of Aug, her fall break is Oct 5 till 13th..

going to the fort... 10/5

oh and the house is still semi cleaned... DD17 earned alot of disney $$ while I was at work

I was glad to go back to work last Wednesday! DS goes to VPK at a Christian school, so he went early. I was so glad to go back to work. Granted, it could have been somewhere else, but back to work I went.

I'm a bit confused by this ....the break that is. Does she attend school year round? I've always wondered what the school calendar year was like for those districts.
