It's gotta be a pretty good day. We get to get up, move around, and hopefully make some money! A cup of coffee, and a little web surfing while the laptop synchs with the servers.

One day closer to Friday, one day closer to the next vacation!

Edit- Maybe nobody noticed that I misspelled "Good"

You must be taking a lesson from Frank!

Good morning, Rob. I think I'm doing pretty well today considering I am not a morning person and was up until 3am organizing my kitchen and DD7 woke me up at 6. Yes, I am in fact, a glutton for punishment. :surfweb:

Good morning, Rob.

I am off from the hospital today so I am enjoying a cup of fresh ground Kona coffee at the office doing some administrative work today. Looks like a nice day here, too, so I think I'll shut down in a bit and ride the scooter today.

Ouch!

Why is it that when WE get no sleep, THEY wake up bright and early! :confused3

Good morning people. Ami, just lock them in their rooms and go back to bed. I gotta clean out the camper from this weekends trip. The worst part of camping.

Let's all cheer Ami through the day. I just had a blueberry pancake in her honor!

Good morning !! I slept in until 9:30 this morning. Ahhhhh. Gotta love summer vacation. I was up WAY too late watching the Olympics last night. I am hooked. I'm even watching the more obscure games...bring 'em on ;)

We decided to head out a day earlier for our next camping trip. We are headed over to our membership campground tomorrow and will be coming home on Labor Day. It's only 15 miles from home and is on a small lake with a beach, pool, kid activities, cafe, family center, and nice big sites. Chad will still have to work during the day, but he will be there evenings and weekends with us. The kids each have a friend coming to spend a couple of days with us. And I'll have my laptop so you won't even know I'm gone :woohoo:

But now today has suddenly gotten much busier now that we will be leaving. I have to get the motorhome packed up and ready to go !! :rolleyes1

Aww! I love blueberries! I had cheese eggs this morning. and a banana

Good morning to all!

Ami, why o why were you organizing your kitchen at 3am??

It all started with me organizing my pantry yesterday afternoon. I rearranged some things, that freed up some space so I rearranged some more.....then some more.....I JUST COULDN"T STOP! Then I opened up all the cabinets and looked with much pleasure for awhile. Ahhhh!

Have fun!

OK, another thread to keep track of!

like you mind!

OK, can Ami multitask in her posts, or what??

Feeling a bit better now. Just got back from the school. DS starts K-Garten tomorrow, and is also severley peanut allergic. DW and I met with the teacher, nurse, principal, and they seem to have a pretty good understanding of it all. They haven't had this issue before, and we weren't sure how well prepared they were.

Maybe now his hardest issue will be learning to sit still and pay attention!

:dance3:

hey new guy, what kind of camper do you have?

A tent at the moment. DW and I have been talking about that for 3 years. I'm the bigger camper, and she would get spooked at the size and price. We finally agreed that we would have one by next Spring. Still looking at hybrid vs TT, size and capacities vs. lighter weight and maneuverability.

I'm just looking for something I don't have to build, then take back down every time. Not to mention have AC!

that's cool, and you found us all the way here at disboards.

Actually I found DIS Boards when we were planning for WDW in April. There were so many non-informative posts and contradicting statements about the parks and resorts I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the boards.

I found this section a couple of weeks ago when I put camping forums in a search engine. Once I read through some of the threads I saw a pretty good group of people, thought I'd try it out for a while.

that's cool. you get my vote for most roundabout way of getting here.

where'd you stay in April? Did you go to the Fort and check it out?

I live vicariously through other peoples trips

We were at POR this time. When you have 5 in the family your resort options are limited, unless you want to pay for 2 rooms. We were at the fort one evening for dinner (the HDDR was full, settled for Trail's End) on our way to MK.

The kids were so focused on the parks it was hard to get them interested in checking out the other areas, and at the time we didn't know how many things were at the fort. They would probably have enjoyed a day there over some of the things we ended up doing. I walked around the area near the TE while the rest were finishing dinner and 2 of the kids were in the playground.

Was telling DW then that we should have planned for time there, but we were on our last day. :sad1:

POR is cool, too! They even have a campfire program...just not as good as the one at the Fort!;) I love and adore FW and need to spend time there on every trip....but I love the other resorts, too! IMO, the best way to do Disney is to drive down with your camper, stay the first night in a resort you've never stayed in, and spend the rest of the trip at the fort! Best of both worlds!
