Hi

My twin;s family and I family will be on the Dec.24thncruise.

The thing is her dh is scheuled to go but because of issues with this oldest daughter he may not be able to go. Can she cancel him from the ressie and make her amount due go down or is she out of luck??? :confused3 If so, can she use that as ship board crdit>

Her trip is paid in full and the cancel date is in Oct. Any help would be great.

If you are not within the cancellation period, you should be able to cancel anything or anyone and be refunded the difference. You could ask that they put it toward your ship board account, but they most likely would just refund you the difference.

If you bought trip insurance, you be able to cancel, as well, although, I don't know if the cancellation have to be for a specific reason.

Hope that helps.

On both of our last Disney cruise's we had to end up cancelling one person. When you call to cancel they will ask you, "do you want the refund via a check in the mail, or just apply it to your account" we have done it each way before...but the check is not a speedy process. :rotfl: it took almost a month to get the refund. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise. :thumbsup2

Make sure he is not listed as the LEAD person on the ressie or I believe DCL will cancel the entire ressie. I know anyone that is not listed as the LEAD person can cancel without penalty as long as it is within the cancellation period.

And, they won't apply a refund to your ONBOARD ACCOUNT but can refund via method paid or apply it to your BALANCE DUE on the cruise purchase price.

Excellent points.

Also, they need to realize that they are canceling an adult reservation. So one of the children will be charged the adult rate. The first two persons in a cabin are charged at the full rate, even if one of them is a child. So they may not be saving much at all.
