Just read this on the DVC member site, under 'News':

Disney Vacation Club is pleased to present a limited opportunity for Members to tour the Cinderella Castle Suite inside Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom® Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort on Aug. 31.

The Member-exclusive 20-minute tours, limited to 10 people in each tour, will take place from noon-3 a.m. To participate, Members must register online at www.disneyurl.com/CastleSuiteTour. (Each Member may register themselves and as many as four additional Guests.)

The suite, occupying a space once imagined as in-Park accommodations for the Disney family, reflects the styles of French chateaus that inspired the design of Cinderella Castle.

Complete details available at www.disneyurl.com/CastleSuiteTour.

thanks for sharing this Joh, it would be wonderful if it is something they extended, I would love to see inside.

It's from the official DVC member site - how much more official can you get :confused3

I wish we were able to go and I agree, Jules, it would be fab if they extended it so more people get a chance to see it :)

I was confused by the phishing post too, you found it on the DVC Website, to me that is official, it would be so exciting to see it ..

Looks like it could be a phishing site to me. When you click on the link the url displayed on the address bar is

http://www.register123.com/event/profile/form/index.cfm?PKformID=0x616627f7bf

Doesn't exactly look very official to me.

I think that's the website Disney uses for Food & Wine, isn't it? At least the DLR version uses register123.com. And I believe we use it in the California court system to register for classes held at regional centers.

On theother hand, I can understand one's concern whenever a cursor hovering over a link in a website or message shows a different link at the bottom of the screen!

I can tell you that the Dream Suite at DLR is rather nice. The Imagineers must have had more fun creating all the magical touches. Mirrors turn into pictures, curios come to life when clocks strike, and my favorite: one of the bedrooms has a toy train on a shelf that encircles the room; as it travels around past various bits of scenery, animals, etc, they come to life, move, whiney or bray until the train is back in its glass display case from which the trip began.

We'll be taking the Castle Suite tour on the 31st at 1:40 pm pixiedust:

Great news - if you're able to take photos, please can you post some here :)

Photos were allowed in the DLR Dream Suite during DVC Day tours, so I'm hoping the same will be true for the WDW suite.

Can't guarantee the artfulness of the photos, but if we get them, I'll post 'em!

What a fantastic opportunity. I wonder why it's for just one day?

Wow - I would love to just be able to see inside the Castle Suite. :lovestruc

Pity we won't be back to WDW until April 2009. :sad1:

I'll be there at 1:20 - after our final Hoopla at the Adventurer's Club!

Why do I think you are referring to 1:20 a.m.? We're going after the AC, too, but we're doing AC on Saturday night. Mind how many times you Kongaloosh!!!

Oh yes, it's 1:20 am! We'll be at AC on Saturday night too - we're going for Labor Day weekend just to visit the club a few more times before it closes. Our next trip wasn't scheduled until October and we didn't make it there in May, so we found a good room deal and used miles for flights (we have APs) and decided to make a special trip. When I saw the email about the DVC tours I couldn't believe our luck! By the time I signed on the only times available were in the middle of the night. But, I figured we'd be at AC until 12:30 or so anyway, so we'll just head over to MK straight after!

I'm envious on both counts. Our next trip isn't until November. Tempting as it is to hop over the pond, the cost of flights is totally prohibitive. I'm still struggling to come to terms with the planned closure of the AC. :sad1:

Doing the tour in the middle of the night seems pretty cool to me - I imagine you'll have MK to yourselves. Have fun! Oh, and Kungaloosh!
