our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

I hope you don't mind, but I may have to borrow your countdown calendar idea. If you are open to sharing......how do you make it so that you can take the Mickey heads off?

have you ever listened to the chesire cat's song? it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. i love it!

Everything he says and does makes me laugh! After talking so much about Alice in Wonderland, I may have to go watch it this afternoon.

The countdown calendar is awesome! What do you have under each Mickey head?

That picture of Ray and Eli is adorable -- I don't think I have seen a pic of Ray without his hat before.

sure, go ahead! oh, i just taped the mickey heads to the poster board with scotch tape. you just have to be careful when taking them off and try not to rip off part of the poster board.

i have alice on VHS and i refuse to throw away my VCR because i have so many disney movies on VHS, so we keep the VCR in the bedroom. i usually watch either alice in wonderland, the little mermaid, sleeping beauty or lady and the tramp while i'm getting ready to go somewhere or while i'm cleaning.

under the mickey heads i have little stickers. i bought a big sheet of classic disney (mickey, minnie, donald, goofy, etc.), some princess stickers, nemo and tinker bell stickers, so they're just sort of randomly hidden under the mickey heads.

Well boys and girls I have my countdown calendar done also

Are you ready???

I do have the Vandy color theme going also, you just can't see it yet. And I love to write in different colors.....obviously  I will update as we go I'm sure.

But WoW.....what do you do compared to this....

She said something awhile back about making me one.....I should have taken her up on it :rotfl:

As far as the ticket prices going up.....I figured.

They did it about this time last year. And I saw someone yesterday said the '09 prices were out so they could start planning. I think that comes with the ticket price increase :guilty: . I'm just wondering how much more I will have to pay compared to what I was thinking.

Yay for both of you for it being time to start a countdown calendar!!!

I heard on the news today that economic experts are predicting high sales of black, white, and yellow paint based on Home Depot customers' interests in their paint chips.

Erica, my cat would have those Mickey heads spread all over the place!

And by the way, is that some leftover pie over there wrapped up in aluminum foil?
I love leftover pie.

I just read your whole TR. Sounds great!!! You've got me even more excited for our trip in a week!!! :dance3:

Edited to add: I was your first post on page 100, and you were my 50th subscription!

i love it! it's so convenient and you didn't have to break out the rulers and tape! i can't wait to see what it looks like as it changes - i'm sure it will be cool! you must show updated pics every now and then.

and mine is not THAT great! i tried to do it with chalk at first and it was hideous! the chalk was getting everywhere. so i just flipped it over and did it with a white paint pen. check it out with the chalk....it's so ugly! this is what's on the back - i'm glad my door is white so you can't see the chalk that is probably all over it!

First....THANK you for making me laugh!! That was great!

Yay for both of you for it being time to start a countdown calendar!!!

Yes!! We are VERY excited!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

I heard on the news today that economic experts are predicting high sales of black, white, and yellow paint based on Home Depot customers' interests in their paint chips.

And imagine this it's in Nashville......AND Atlanta??

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Erica, my cat would have those Mickey heads spread all over the place!

Yes it's a very good thing my dogs can jump up on that counter.....that would be interesting :rotfl2:

And by the way, is that some leftover pie over there wrapped up in aluminum foil?
I love leftover pie.

Yes, and it's chocolate actually....VERY good!

That's another reason why I put that bubble on there was to cover some of the junk on my countertop

Dawn - your chalk version is not bad, it's cute too. But I can see where it would be VERY messy!

just found out that disney ticket prices are increasing as of TODAY! :scared1: nice they gave us some warning, huh? i usually buy from undercovertourist.com, but they've already raised their prices accordingly and mapleleaftickets.com is honoring the old prices through tuesday. so i called anna this morning and we're gonna buy tickets for the december trip when she gets home later today so we can save $40! i don't have to buy one for me because i'm just upgrading the one day i bought to qualify for free dining when i get there in september to a 4-day base and using my AP to get into the parks. i think tickets increased about $8-10. i'm still fuzzy on my math but that's what it's figuring out to be when i do the figuring. but that's based on a 4-day base ticket so it depends on what kind of ticket you buy and how many days you want to get as to how much the price increase is.
I totally debated buying my tickets for my upcoming trip...then FORGOT to do it yesterday. Is maple leaf the same savings as undercover? Did you try to link through the mouse savers email link?

Would you wait for a package code or go ahead and buy the tickets if you were me?

Dawn is Eli a Basset Hound? I had one growing up and they are the most loving dogs. They smell a little but every kiss makes it worth it!

i just bought tickets from mapleleaftickets.com and the total was $854.95 (3 adult/1 child 4-day base ticket). with undercovertourist.com before they raised their prices it would've been $848. so there's a price difference of $6.95 and that's for the shipping at mapleleaf. that's the only difference. undercovertourist has free shipping.

no, i didn't try the mouse savers link....just went to www.mapleleaftickets.com.

i don't know what to tell you about waiting for a package code! i've never had to make that decision before. is there some sort of discount you get with a package code?

A lot of our movie collection is still on VHS -- mostly Disney movies so I am keeping the VCR as long as it works. Our copy of Alice is actually a DVD though because my FIL gave it to DD one year at Christmas.

I just love the countdown calendar with stickers underneath --I usually just have a calendar that I put stickers on, so I like your variation.

thanks!!! cool that you're going in a week. HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!!!

and thanks for being my first post on page 100! ;)

Dawn - your chalk version is not bad, it's cute too. But I can see where it would be VERY messy!

it was! you should've seen the black mickey heads where i had to put the dates on them with chalk.....the were smeared all over the place!

Dawn - love your countdown. I can't wait until I do one for us.

thanks! you guys will be making one before you know it!

Dawn is Eli a Basset Hound? I had one growing up and they are the most loving dogs. They smell a little but every kiss makes it worth it!

close! he's a beagle. but he kinda looks like a basset because he's so fat! and yes, the kisses are the best, but eli is so wierd - he doesn't give kisses!!! :sad1: sherman (my older beagle) loves to give kisses but eli is very selfish with his. i get one every now and then and usually only when he's really excited to see me after i go out of town or something. he loves to cuddle and he's such a sweetie, but he just doesn't kiss. so strange!

Yay for both of you for it being time to start a countdown calendar!!!

:yay:

I heard on the news today that economic experts are predicting high sales of black, white, and yellow paint based on Home Depot customers' interests in their paint chips.

i would have absolutely nothing to do with that. :rolleyes1

and by the way, erica, i want some pie, too!

i want alice on DVD! i need to look into getting that. my tape skips because i watch it so much!

I missed alot of your TR, I was on vacation in Naples. But im all caught up :) YAY! I love your countdown it is sooo cute, I need to make one for my sept trip. Your doggies are the cutest things...Im sad your TR is coming to an end but you better do one for your Sept Trip lol, I will subscribe for sure.

I didn't know you didn't know! If I had known, I would have told you. I knew b/c they went up around this time last year, so I bought my AP and Mom bought her ticket the day before the increase. Also, they mentioned it on the EarstoEars group I belong to. Ughhhh. I though for sure someone had mentioned it on the Dis. Good thing about Mapleleaftickets though.

Oh and thanks for the info on the Melatonin. I got some at Wal-Mart today. Of course they had 3mg and 5mg and I wasn't sure so I asked the pharmacist and he said 3mg is all I need. He saidit is great stuff and "no hangover" like other sleep meds. :thumbsup2

I just got caught up on a bunch of pages, since I'm still on my trip (we're in Gettysburg now). Loved your video of rope drop, especially since I will probably never make it to that. the time change is just too hard to adjust to. And although I love everything Disney, some of that stuff gets a little too corny for me. Last time we were in MK, there were singers "walking right down the middle of Main Street USA" and I thought, "Well move, because some of us are trying to get to Space Mountain!"
Love the picture of Ray with the "baby." And I saw the info about Princess Di. Thanks for "yelling" out to me on the peeps page. I'm behind there too.
