A couple people have mentioned theirs recently, so what are you guys favorites? Mom and pop, chain, whatever, where's your favorite place to go out to eat?

We recently fell in love with this chain they have down here called Carolina Ale House. Good cheap food, good cheap drinks, lots of tvs, and they have the best chili I've ever had.

P F Changs is my most fav for a chain....then on the coast I have several seafood restaurants...Original Oyster House, Felix's Fish Camp...and the Casinos...Beau Rivage, or Emerils Fish HOuse...and a tiny place called Phoencia's

We like Olive Garden and B.D Mongolian BBQ. Our favorite though is a local steakhouse. They have great service, excellent food and there is always a wait. It was voted best restaurant in our county for the last 6 years or so now. It's expensive, so we usually only go once or twice a year.

We also recently discovered The Melting Pot fondue restaurant and that is a great *special occasion* kind of place.

We have a restaurant here called Greenbriar Barbecue. It's this old place out in the country that serves the best barbecue chicken, pork, fried catfish, frog legs, and the most WONDERFUL hushpuppies on the face of this earth. Unfortunately, we don't go there very often cause we are trying to eat healthier.

Camino Real - great Mexican food and cheap too.

Demos' - great Italian, Greek food and steaks [voted best steak 12 years in a row] over Outback, Logans and all the chain steakhouses. At reasonable prices also.

Anything BBQ~ DH and I once did a BBQ vacation. Went all around Tenn for good BBQ. We even did a beer tasting at a local place. :drinking1 What a good vacay! Next I think we need to go to NY for a pizza vacation:thumbsup2
Local I'd say Famous Dave's BBQ yummo

Been there! I can't say it stood out as memorable but know exactly where it is...I like the German Restaurant near you west of Madison Square Mall forget the name...is it still there???

Chains: PF Changs, Big Bowl, Carabbas, Ruth's Chris
Local: A new restaurant just opened on Fort Myers Beach, called the Yucatan Bar & Grill. Open air, good food, good drinks, live music every evening, fun atmosphere! Love it!! :thumbsup2

Is it in Times Square? Was it something before?? I have not been to the beach since season! How is the traffic? Sounds good, is it dressy? Don't forget Taste of The town is the 1st Sunday in November in Centenial Park! (shameless plug, I'm in the junior league)

Hi!!! It's in the old Pizza Hut building! They took months (maybe even over a year) to completely gut the building, and build this new restaurant! You should check it out! Not dressy at all. Very laid back, relaxed atmosphere.

When you are going over the bridge, just look down to your right, and you can't miss it. It's down the street from the SOB. No, traffic is very light right now. Even on weekends.

We love Taste of the Town!! We'll be there! Will you be working in a booth? :)

Yes, every body puts in a 10 hour shift that day. I requested to pour at the beer garden this year. Last year I was on Golf cart duty delivering stuff to vendors. Sounds fun until you are driving in between 12,000 people! I might just go there this weekend. Bennigan's and Steak and Ale just closed. Bennigans was so dirty I am suprised the health dept didn't close them down sooner. I like to support the small places when we can. I want to go to Sanibel before season as well. Lifgthouse Cafe for breafast or Bubble Room for Red Velvet Cake!

For chain restaurants at home or when we're on the road, we will usually hit Cracker Barrel, Steak & Shake, or Waffle House. Local favorites are Primanti Brothers, Quaker Steak & Lube and our favorite is Amel's a mediterranian/ middle eastern restaurant. If we happen to be in western Ohio, DH and DS insist on Skyline Chili!

It's a real local establishment I call "D's Kitchen". They serve good hot food and the menu changes daily. Sometimes they take special requests. And the best part,,they are real close to my lazy-boy.

My favorite all time restaurant was a place called Country's Barbeque in Columbus, GA. I haven't been there in over 20 years, but I can still taste it. I used to like Don Pablo's, but they closed locally due to bankruptcy. I am searching now for a new favorite.

Do they change your oil for you to?

Ha Ha very funny! It is a restaurant that first started in Sharon Pa, out of an old gas station. I have been going there for years, great fun and lots of fun, each room in the place is a diff. theme, one is motorcycles, and has all kinds of different bikes on the walls, floor and ceiling, one room is racing, it has a grand prix car upside down from the ceiling, it has a top fuel dragster on the wall, etc.

On a funny side note, back when I actually had more dollars than sense, I was eating at the original one night and called the manager over to our table of about 20 and asked if they were selling franchises, he said no, they never would, about 4 years later and they started popping up all over. There is even one in Knoxville near you guys.

Pretty good food, great wings.

There was a great bbq place in Athens Ga, it was called Springhouse BBQ..... MMMMmmmmMMMMmmmmMMM goood.

Our favorite chains are P F Changs and Macaroni Grill--
Emeril's in New Orleans is worth any price!
Favorite locals are Los Comales for Mexican food, Apple Dumpling for deli type sandwiches on homemade breads ,Mamma Mia's for Italian and Crab Inn for seafood. Can you tell we eat out alot? (No kids at home)
