LOVE Pete's rumor. I am so hoping that the Adventurers' Club is going to move to Animal Kingdom.

As a DVC owner @ AKV's, I so hope this one is true, I love that park (even if it is hot as hades) and I love the Adventurers Club.

Excuse my ignorance here...................... But what is the adventurers club? :rolleyes1 :goodvibes Thanks!!

I thought it was less a rumour than a comment about where it could be put, eg, where it would fit in.

Sorry if I just burst your bubble.

I believe the correct terminology for the DIS Unplugged is Africa Hot. :lmao: :lmao:

Yup!! Of course, Bawb had a whole list of "hot as..." that CorEy read on the tribute show.

Africa Hot is my favorite. Along with Carnival Ape Crazy...

Hope the AC will come back in either Boardwalk or Animal Kingdom. If it is put in Animal Kingdom as an entryway to the Nightly Kingdom I wonder if you will be able to just go to the AC by itself without having to go (and pay) for Nightly Kingdom?

Don't pick on us just because we've "improved" the language over here.;)

I was wondering the very same thing about admission. Didn't someone say that it would be a pricey admission for the Nightly Kingdom? Assuming, of course, that the place really will come to fruition. I'm hoping that if it's true and the AC will become part of that, then I hope that we wouldn't have to pay the hefty, hefty price tag that I had heard admission would be! While I love the Adventurer's Club, i'm not sure that I could fork over $200 for admission...isn't that what we had heard at one time? $200?

I hate to say it but a front line cast member is the worse person to hear any rumors from. They know as much as we do about WDW rumors. Do you think 55,000 people can keep a secret about future happenings at WDW?:rolleyes1

You need to have a contact of someone much higher in the WDW food chain to get some real information.

I put this in the post about the Night Kingdom but here is an in depth article about Night Kingdom. It does look like it was in the works but this was all before the gas crunch and recession. It was also before the sale of Anheuser Busch and since one motivating factor for Night Kingdom was competition with Discovery Cove Disney might want to see what happens with Sea World before competing.

I just can't see this happening now, at least not in the PI space. They have already announced the Hanes store and the mexican place. I just don't see how these would fit with the NightKingdom thing.:confused3

well... a couple things... Jim Hill guesses... a lot. And how do you monetize the cover charge for AC? The cost has to be a lot larger than the cover and what the bar makes, cause the actors are probably not cheap and there are a lot of them. If you put it inside the AK, now you have to have a park ticket... probably a park hopper to even get to the club on a semi regular basis, which would discourage frequent visits, if it is a stand alone club the admission is gonna be steep, if it is part of Nightly Kingdom... I doubt the general public would get admission to the very expensive concept park.

The logistics of keeping it open and going... are not easy. the multi club venue is about the only metaphor that could support the concept.

Don't get me wrong, huge fan of the AC... but, it is pretty much a done deal that it is going away, no matter what the fan uproar.

I'm guessing that if Nightly Kingdom comes to be, that it won't be in the same place as Pleasure Island was...

Thanks to the subject line, I now have "Rumors" stuck in my head. No, not the Lindsay Lohan version. The Timex Social Club version. Remember?

"How do rumors get started?
they’re started by the jealous people and
They get mad
seein’ somethin’ they had
that somebody else is holdin’"
