Save the Adventurers Club

I really like that idea and I will indeed participate, but I encourage those who do to please add a note about the entire PI complex, not just AC. I understand some people are rhythmically challenged, but please please please at least say something about saving the complex. PI is still profitable, Kevin Lansberry said so in the Orlando Sentinnel. They want to play landlord and it needs to stop. Save the rest of PI for those of us who have an emotional attachment to 8-trax or Mannequins.

saving the AC and/or PI is a nice concept... but that ship sailed. regardless at this point, it is closing.

That might be, but it doesn't hurt to let them know that their "guest feedback" might be a little skewed and that there are many upset at the situation. I doubt their "guest feedback" had questions like "would you prefer we add more third party restaurants and shops by closing Pleasure Island?" It was probably something more like "do you want even more variety of shopping and dining?"

Those are two very different questions. Of course people are gonna want more variety. I personally love eating at WDW. That's why I was broke after the college program :rotfl: What I want are unique things not more chain stores and restaurants. I mean come on, Harley Davidson at Disney?? Woop de doo, we have one in La Crosse, WI and this city sucks. Their questions are skewed to get the answers they want and Kevin Lansberry is behind it all. He just needed one more justification to close PI after he slowly let it deteriorate on purpose.

I am going to have to agree with Zulemara, it doesn't hurt to let them know our displeasure at the news of the closing of PI and the AC. I would say that we would all agree that the less third party run places on Disnye property the better.

Not to sound pessimistic but...

At this point does it even have a chance? Are they really even considering
keeping it? Has anyone heard a rumor milling about to that effect? I am
just looking for a little hope in this campaign.. I wish I had gotten one of the
e-mails or letters others have gotten, I'm not even sure my letters are getting
to Mr. Iger.

How likely is it that we could actually save P.I? Would the be willing
to let us help fresh'n it up? Maybe we could have some kind of fundraiser to
renovate the place, get it looking like a whole new island! ^_^

Check out the rumors boards. There are 2 PI topics, one of which has references to getting some different responses from different execs. All is not yet lost and if anyone has the guts and power to overturn this whole thing, it's Iger

I read Jim Hill's article and now I think there is even LESS chance P.I. can be saved (not that I held out much hope to begin with) because I never even thought about PI losing so much money making time since they don't open until 7pm. True, it's always been that way, but since Disney has decided/realized they can make alot more money in 13 hours (10am-11pm) as opposed to just 7 hours, on top of their other reasons, I know now that P.I. is cooked. Although I still hold a glimmer of hope for AC being moved somehwere else on property, the notion of saving P.I. complex ... ain't gonna happen.
