Remember we told you about a new restaurant going in the Pleasure Island area?

We now have this info...

The new waterfront restaurant will have 200 seats indoors and 80 seats as part of an outdoor patio.

It will be located across from the 8-Trax club.and will serve Central, South and North American street foods, such as churros, grilled meats, tacos and shaved ice, and will include a 30-foot tequila tower.

The restaurant will occupy former retail and fast food space.

There has been a rumor circulating that the name of the restaurant will be "La Dolbe" but this name is no longer being considered.

We'll keep you posted.

I'm torn on this revelation lol... We already have Bongo's in DTD which I don't like and it sounds somewhat similar?

It doesn't matter what it is, as long as you review it. We desperately miss your reviews.

Good! Dh and I are always interested in trying new places.

Tequila tower!!! My head already hurts thinking about that one.

Hows the dinosaur place coming along? Is it almost done?

talking about tequila :rolleyes1 did the tequila counter ever open at the Mexico Pavilon in Epcot? I forget exactly what I read, but I thought it was going to be a tequila bar inside by the restaurant. Anyone know anything?

any rumors to when it will open? I would love to hit that tequila tower when we are there in September but unless they have been working in secret I doubt that is going to happen.

OK, who's the world's first largest Miami Dolphin fan?

Darius Rucker? :teeth:

Actually I do know that :-) One of the members of hootie's Mom is my inlaws Realtor! We've met, hes cool...and a huge dolphins fan....just like me :lovestruc

I need to know this too! I read Tequila Tower and decided that I will have to go there! I loves me some Tequila!

Interesting. So they're basically bringing the intersection of 103rd St. and Roosevelt Ave. in Queens down to DTD. That should spice things up a bit!
