How's the weather out there guys, and what's the forecast for the next few weeks? Taking our first August trip in 10 days or so :cool1: , and have heard mixed reports on the weather. What can we expect? :confused3

Tks.

Hot?

Sorry...who needs sarcasm when you're planning a Disney trip?

The boys have said that the daily thunderstorms that can be expected in Fl this time of year have lasted much longer than usual. Don't know if that pattern is still ongoing.

We have been having a good bit of rain the last few weeks.

These are not the usual 20 minute cloud bursts, but lasting the better part of the day.

Oh yeah.....it's HOT and HUMID too.

Last evening it was only 82 degrees, but it felt like an 82 degree hot wet blanket being thrown over you.

Find ways to stay cool and hydrated and bring your ponch. You'll be fine.

I bring my paunch wherever I go, Kevin...

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww, I hate that, I got sweaty just reading this line.

Still, you are at Disney, get out the poncho and have fun!

One thing I don't stress over at Disney is the weather. There isn't one thing
I can do to change it, so I just go with it.

the weather man is recommending black socks with sandals for august, doesn't that mean 6 more weeks of oppressive humidity.

We are going to be there in about 20 days (driving from Toronto - yes, we are nuts!). Any idea if the rain should subside by that time? Really hate driving in rain - especially in FL. You guys have torrential downpours that is for sure.

We're flying out tomorrow night. I've always been a little confused what the difference is between "isolated" t-storms and "scattered" t-storms. I'm assuming "isolated" means restricted to one area only and "scattered" is throughout the area. Is that correct? :confused3

i live 30-45 min from orlando its rained every day it eather rains all day or rains in teh after noon

I love thunderstorms tehy are so much fun.

Isolated means it will cover the whole area or majority and scattered means it could storm in MK but be sunny in Epcot. Yes, that has actually has happened to me several times while in Disney in the past. I remember we were in AK and it was sunny there and when we got to Epcot it was raining, so we went back to AK and it was still sunny in AK and never rained a drop that day in AK. What can I say..Disney weather is STRANGE!
