lunch at MGM?

Are you planning on a TS or CS lunch? For TS we:lovestruc 50's Prime Time! Sci-Fi is good too. For CS we like Toy Story Pizza Planet- the pizza is pretty good and you also get a small salad with it. Good luck with your decision!

Hollywood & Vine

They have a character lunch with characters from Little Einsteins and JoJo's Circus. Link with more information: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=140

:thumbsup2 We are doing this in September. I can't wait to see DS2's face. :scared1: He watches Little Einsteins.

If you aren't looking for a character meal but looking for a sit down meal, I'd recommend 50's Prime Time Cafe or Mama Melrose (depends on your tastes). :sad2: I highly DO NOT recommend Sci-Fi Dine-In for a child your daughter's age. We went there last year and I had to walk DS2 around until our food was ready. He wasn't digging the darkness and loud movie. But, we wanted to experience it for his older brother and sister.

Personally, we don't like the pizza at Pizza Planet. But, that is just our taste. If you were looking for a quick meal, you can try the ABC Commissary. It is inside and air conditioned. Link attached: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=268

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

for table service, go to either SCi-Fi (great ribs) or 50's Prime Time Cafe (great meatloaft and peanut butter and jelly milkshake). Make your ADR asap.

If you want a quick service, i would say Pizza Planet. You have to pay out of pocket to play any of the games though.

For sit down I would say Sci-fi, Prime time or take the boat over to the beach club for beaches n cream.

Counter service choice for us is usually Backlot express. We do not really like pizza at wdw.

:thumbsup2 Taking the boat to Beach 'n Cream is a good idea (and a nice break from the park). However, they may skip lunch and go straight to dessert. :lmao:

Another vote for H & V. Awesome buffet and characters are great. DD will definetly enjoy the characters.

Beaches & Cream is another awesome suggestion for dessert. We did the kitchen sink in December and it was awesome. We barely got through half of it and that was Me, DW and DD3.

:) Do you have a picture of that? We've been to B&C a few times and have yet to see someone order the kitchen sink.

I'm sure it's buried somewhere, but definetly do not have it online. If I can find it, i'll post it up, but i wouldn't hold my breath. LOL

When you order it, this alarm goes off when they are about to deliver it to your table and all these police lights/sirens/strobe lights go off and everyone starts to cheer. It was a truly an awesome experience from beginning to end.:thumbsup2

BTW, where in Tx Jen?

Last month DH and I went to MM for lunch, it was very good. In Oct we are going to try Sci Fi for lunch

The backlot express (behind Indy Jones show) is one of our favorites because it is rarely crowded, and has some alternatives (like a grilled veggie sandwich and a grilled turkey sandwich). Eating burgers & pizza gets old. They have that stuff there, but they have the other options.

The Studio Catering Company also has some good salads (I think my wife had a caesar).

Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time are great if you can get in them without reservations. We love both.

One of our favorite alternatives is the "Tune-in Lounge" which is a very small bar next to the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Most people just use it as a waiting area. But, they have some great snacks (cheese and fruit plate, hot 'smores), and you can get a cold beer there.

Pizza Planet is fun, but Disney pizza is just plain horrible. If you can eat Disney pizza, then you may enjoy that place. We have tried dozens of times to eat Disney pizza but can't stand it. If you want good pizza in Orlando, order from Giordanno's. Search the threads on this site for more info.

definitely 50"s PT or Sci Fi [ but request a car!!!!] your 3 yr old will
LOVE it:cheer2:

CS-Starring Rolls--have a limited selection of extremely good sandwiches and of course super yum bakery desserts

TS-Hollywood & Vine--good buffet, character meal
