Just a silly little question for you today:

When I was making my ADR for Kona Cafe today, the CM asked me how many kids were in my party under 17. Do they ask this with every ADR? I don't remember them asking me this last year? Is there something special for kids at Kona that I didn't know about? In any case, we don't have any people under 17 in our party.

Yep, they do ask this with every ADR - or at least the first one in your list and then it carries through. I have been asked multiple times on a call.

Ok. I just didn't remember them asking that last time I made ADRs. Is there a reason they want to know?

They do it so that they can put the need for highchairs and/or booster seats on the reservation. Yes, they always ask.

Yes they ask for every place to me it makes no sense. Ask if there 9 and under cause over 9 your paying an adult price. I don't get it!

They asked me for each of our upcoming reservations. It is so they can put a note on the ressie if you need boosters or high chairs.

They have asked me each time I call for ADR's if I have children under 17 and what their ages are (even though I've made so many trips and so many ADR's over the years that they have that info sitting right in front of them on a computer screen, I'm sure).

But why wouldn't they just ask if we'll be needing highchairs and/or booster seats? Most 16 year olds don't need them. :rotfl: That's what I didn't get. Why "under 17"?

They didn't ask me about 9 and under at all.
