are you kidding me:confused3 I go to your reviews just to get some drool time in every week:thumbsup2 :rotfl: I only have 2 comments Wolfie's the food was good (not great) and the service was horrible  I felt like I was bothing the waiter if I needed anything and I am not a needy person. San Angel Inn, loved, loved, loved the valcano.. food was very bland:guilty:

Honestly, I think all your choices are nice, but not necessarily going to wow you.

We really like San Angel Inn, but if I was going to choose a WS restaurant, it would be something else. Chefs de France, LeCellier and Rose and Crown are all superb in comparison. Teppan Edo is getting great reviews as well.

On the same vein - Sci-Fi is lots of fun, but won't impress you with the food. This is okay if you want burgers and shakes and the experience, just be prepared for that.

Plaza - I've always wanted to eat at the Plaza, so I can't really tell you from experience. But if you aren't feeling it, I would suggest either LTT if you want in the park, or go for GF Cafe. It's excellent.

Just a few pieces of input...

Of all the ones you've listed, we've only been to threetwo--Sci Fi--so so in our book (but it has been years) and Plaza--which is one of our must-dos every trip and Cafe May Clambake--we were very disappointed in this last year and are skipping this trip. We are trying Boma from your rave reviews when we are there in September. We've never done San Angel (don't like Mexican food at all).

Ok thats what I thought, I let DH start getting his 2 cents in and he picks loo loos for meals!

I thought we would do a few lunches for TS instead of dinners so we can enjoy the F&W for dinner and hang at the pool after lunch but the meals are just not doing it for me.

I was thinking of swapping out WPC for the TS place in Morocco...we looked at the pictures last month (at the hostess stand) and it looked incredible.

On our day that we have the Plaza maybe I should go to Kona for lunch of CP for lunch? Never been to either. I would love to go to the Wave but I dont think that DH would like the menu.

DH pretty much has his heart set on San Angel Inn for lunch, dont ask me why and Sci Fi was just an after thought...maybe I should change that to the 50's Prime Time?

I know we are not going to go to AKL that week so those dining options are pretty much out. We probably will go to DTD on our departure day so nothing there wows me either.

Originally I was trying for places that we havent been to before but I am getting cold feet :rotfl:

If you could plan my meals what would you do?

I haven't eaten many TS, but I have eaten at Morocco! I like Middle-Eastern type food and thoroughly enjoyed this place. The food was good and plentiful, we had a great table and entertainment. It was a nice change from all the CS we had previous to it! If you had the chance to change San Angel to Morrocco, I would do it!

You are the Queen of the dinning reviews and your pics well they are just delicious, I have learned so much from you, this will be our first time at WDW, and I do think that you husband like so many love to put 2 cents in when it really isnt needed that's why I am single and loving it; but I am sure wherever you go the Mr. will sure to follow, and enjoy it! I know how you love Boma! I am sure he is cool with this one,how about Kona,Ohanas,Coral Reef,In place of the Wolfgang Dinner or even the Wolfgang express for that matter. I just have seen such negative reviews on the Wolfgang Cafe,. For Teppan Edo, I have heard good things, but if you are a big eater like myself this is not the place, well I hope that I have shed a bit of light since you bring out the sun in your reviews! :flower3: Kimmie

Were your ears burning? I was just saying to my husband, "Oh good MickeyNicki is going back next month, (I saw from your O'hana Breakfast post) so I know she'll have some great dining reviews."

You always make stellar dining choices, but if you want to change some out, I'd have to agree with the others that WPC doesn't get great reviews, especially regarding their service. (It's so funny how people love WPE, but not WPC). You can't go wrong with Kona for dinner for one of the nights. We always do Narcoossee's every trip...it's our favorite, but if you're wanting something in EPCOT...CR, Le Cellier, Chefs, or maybe try the TS place in Morocco. I too have heard good things about Teppan Edo. For your MK day, perhaps try GF Cafe, were going ourselves in September for the first time. Again, can't say enough about Narcoossee's, or just stick with the Plaza. I think you're right about breakfast, if you're doing the CL of AKL, you'd be silly not to eat there every morning.

Good luck, and don't worry, you're a pro...honestly, you really have a knack for picking great places to dine or at the very least, picking the best things on the menu to make the most out of your experience, so whatever you decide just remember to enjoy it...and I can't wait to read the reviews! :goodvibes

I havent been to many places, but we really liked the plaza. It was a nice change and not to heavy. We had a great dinner at Kona, and a horrible lunch at Kona. It could have just been a bad day, but Plaza was very good.

Hi Nicki!

I feel your pain. It's tough to get those ADR's just right. I think I've changed mine about 10 times in the last 2 months. Here are my thoughts:

You can't lose with Boma. We're big fans of both breakfast and dinner! I'd also be excited to eat at Jiko and Il Mulino. Actually, I'm quite excited to eat at Jiko for a 4th time in a couple of weeks. And I've heard good stuff about Il Mulino, too.

Sci Fi doesn't really thrill me, but DHS proves difficult because there's not a lot going on restaurant-wise. We're trying Fresh at the Dolphin in August (the dessert bar looks un-freaking-believable!), so that or the Fountain might be an interesting lunch alternative nearby.

I've never eaten at San Angel, so I can't say one way or the other. We really like the hoopty Mexican counter service outside, if that helps. :confused3

I like the Plaza a lot and we originally planned on eating there in August, but we decided to try the Wave instead. Risky, I know, but I'minterested in the menu, so what the heck!

If you're not feeling WPC, then I suggest Raglan Road. We really enjoy the food and ambience and beer. :goodvibes

F&W fest rocks! I can't wait for the reviews!

This is the 1st time ever I've messed with my own ADR's. Getting ready to call back tomorrow and change again. :rotfl2:

For me, there's no way you could drag me back to San Angel Inn kicking and screaming. I really, really disliked the food here.

Instead of Plaza I would go with CP. It's not a place I've been either and it's on the to do list at some point. Maybe I'll get around to CRT too.

We're on the DDP and using almost all of our TS credits for dinners (1 is for b-fast). We have 1 day where we will not be in the parks due to ATA Nationals at DWWS. We'll just use a CS credit at one of the restaurants in DTD.

Can I ask what restaurants you have been to? I've heard Teppan Edo is good as well as Tutto Italia. If you're not feeling those restaurants than pick something else.

Ok so I have changed my ADRs around only once but I think I hate them :lmao: We are staying CL at the AKL so we dont have any big breakfasts scheduled and since it is F&W we dont have too many dinners set either.

Our whole family really disliked WPC. What about PYC? I can see why your not excited about it!

Instead of lunch at the Plaza, how about tea at GF? You can order plenty of food! We also like lunch at LTT.

I think Kona would be a great option for you to try. I know it's excellent at breakfast, and gets great reviews for everything. As for how I would change them if it was mine, that would depend on what parks you are doing and if you are up for park-hopping or not. And Marakesh would also be a great option. It was great when we went a couple years ago, and are finally getting to try it out again in October.

Nicki, I think you're thinking too much. I say this because I'm often guilty of doing the same thing. It's like second-guessing yourself on a multiple choice question. ;)

Go with your instincts or those places that you really want to try.

For what it's worth, The Plaza is not much more than a sandwich shop that serves ice cream desserts. We ate there for dinner a few years ago ... it was good but nothing memorable and it's not a place that we would want to return to. But the decor is charming and I can understand the appeal, especially because there are so few table service options at the MK.

I think you will really enjoy dinner at Jiko and since you're staying at AKL it makes sense for you to keep that ADR ... what could be easier to get to? :thumbsup2

Sci-Fi is another place that you go to not for the food but for the experience. As long as you order standard fare (burgers for the most part) and maybe an alcoholic milkshake or two ;) I think you'll like it just fine. We thought it was a lot of fun but another one of those been there, done that, no need to repeat dining experiences.

I never seem to hear good things about San Angel and I don't really care for Mexican food, so short of Epcot opening that oft discussed Tequila Bar odds are we will never eat there. Why don't you think about a F&W pairing instead? It looks like that will be a Tuesday which is likely to be the pairing at Marrakesh (eh, I didn't like that one ... I'm a big help ... ;) ).

It you're looking for a good place at DTD why not try House of Blues or Raglan Road? We've always had good experiences at both.

Can't help much with anything else ... haven't been to the Clambake and don't want to. Not big buffet people outside of breakfast and even then we're a little squeamish. If I were jonesin for seafood I'd book an ADR at Flying Fish or Blue Zoo.

:goodvibes

You can't go wrong with Boma or Jiko - we loved our breakfast at Boma and dinner at Jiko our last trip. We also ate at Mara and I think it is one of the better resort counter service options. I, personally, would switch Sci-Fi for PTC and San Angel Inn for R&C, Le Chefs or CR. If you aren't in the mood for sandwiches at the Plaza and want to stay in the park, I would go with LTT - if you are okay leaving the park, I would go with Kona.

I would skip WPC and go to Citricos or Artist Point.

Hope that helps and doesn't cause you more angst!

In my opinion.
Everything looks great except Si Fi in my opinion. Use to love this place until they changed the meun. It was always a must do noe it's a NO WAY!
We like Prime Time or Mama Melrose.

If you don't want to go to plaza try Columbia Harbor House. Went there in April it was really good. Also like Tony's to.

Thanks so much for you kind words and suggestions....I am going to re-do my dining choices and see what I can get. I cannot wait to get back there next month when we get to try Teppan Edo...bring on the shrimps!

I havent been to many places, but we really liked the plaza. It was a nice change and not to heavy. We had a great dinner at Kona, and a horrible lunch at Kona. It could have just been a bad day, but Plaza was very good.

Brenda Girl I think you are right, when it comes to WDW I get OCD or something! :rotfl: :goodvibes :rotfl2:

I'm with you both oybolshoi and MickeyNicki! This is my first time on the DDP in September and I am constantly second-guessing myself. Its slowly driving me crazy and I'm taking BF with me! This ADR thing seems easy enough, but there are just so many places to try.

BF also has requested San Angel Inn, but I've made an executive decision. We can have a CS lunch there IF he really wants Mexican, otherwise, we're using the TS to try some new places! We can Mexican all the time outside the World....

Don't really know about the Belly Dancer...we just happened to walk in for lunch. Didn't even know about the ADR system at all! She came out twice during our lunch, so I imagine that she comes out every 45 minutes or so. We were there a long time! Our food was really good, as was the desserts, so we took our time and really finished everything. We rolled out of there!
