ADR advice

Going down in October and probably too late to get anymore ADRs than what we already have. Any suggestions on what to fill in our empty days with? We are traveling as a group of 6 (me, DH, dad, stepmom, 3 year old sister, 5 year old brother).

Saturday-Magic Kingdom, dinner ADR Chef Mickey's (8:45pm...hoping something earlier opens)
Sunday-nothing, planning to food & wine at epcot and probably don't need set reservations
Monday- AK &MGM, dinner ADR at LTT (4pm), MNSSHP
Tuesday-AK & MGM no ADRs
Wednesday-breakfast ADR at O'Hanas (DH and I fly out of Orlando at 8:10pm)

Always try the Grand Floridian Cafe or the Captain's Galley at the Yacht Club.

I don't think it's too late at all to get adr's. The most desirable times may be gone, but maybe not. You still have 3 months. I've made adr's while at WDW and most of the time had no problem. I'd call and ask about availability and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Agree 100% with the previous poster who suggested the Grand Floridian Cafe. I think that's the best place for lunch at WDW.

I'll be there in october and I just made an ADR for 50s Prime Time at 6 PM for when we're there. I called last week for that one.

I would do Mama Melrose on Tuesday!

DH and I like to be spontaneous, but we've learned it's best to make an ADR for every evening; we can always cancel it if we decide to just nosh at counter service places or even if we decide to try to walk up to a table service restaurant.

DH has the ADR phone # programmed into his cell so it's never a problem to cancel at the last minute.

Are you on a dining plan? If not, why not try Rainforest Cafe at AK on the day you are doing a AK, DHS split.........my daughter loved it there, but they do not participate in the dining plan.

We went last year and I booked ADR just three days before and was able to get about 80% of what we wanted including three Character meals. This year I booked 5.5 months in advance and guess what still got about 80%. Also keep calling back, things change all the time

What dates are you going in Oct, if I may ask and what time did you call? I've tried the last two days to change and add adrs and there seems to be hardly anything left! Absolutely no chef Mickeys at a decent time or Coral Reef!

If you want a really excellent meal go to Brown Derby at MGM that night. You can usually get an ADR for it and it is incomparable. They also have these really neat huge round booths for bigger parties that would be fun. And do try Tusker House for lunch at AK!
