Which was the better band?

  • Pablo Cruise?

  • Little River Band?

  • Cheap Trick?

  • I wasn't born until 1/1/80 or sooner

  • I was too stoned to remember

Little River Band definitely. You could have also added Yes and Chicago.

this is my subthread poll...... it was meant to stimulate the brain.

Those bands are one (okay maybe 2) hit wonders. Where are the Good Bands? These bands are probably playing pubs and dinner theaters. But if this is my only choices. Little River Band.

I like cheap trick...LRB was good too, but the quint-neck guitar cant be taking second to LRB.

So many great bands from that era, I would have never been able to narrow it down to those 3!!!! Im floored ya didnt have KISS on that list!!!

again, it was picking a specific 3...... meant to cause you to think.

None of your choices!!

CCR, Doobie Brothers, Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad, Steppenwolf, Bloodrock, Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jethro Tull, Eagles, Wings, Three Dog Night, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Heart, Queen, Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind and Fire, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Bee Gee's, Bob Marley, The Who, Electric Light Orchestra, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Grateful Dead, Santana, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Moody Blues, Steely Dan, Springstein, Rod Stewart, Bad Finger...shall I go on??

The 70's was loaded with awesome music!

Cheap trick did not really become sucessful til the late 70's, early 80's. Little River band and Pablo cruise both were not bad but not hugely successful compared to other bands such as Chicago and the Eagles but of the list...I would say Little River Band.:thumbsup2

I picked Pable Cruise cause it was the only band I've seen in person :-)

I'm coming to your place for the music!

...Class of '79...waaa, I'm too young to be this old...

I chose to stick to the choices listed. The best all time band is of course AC/DC.

Pink Floyd, that is my stand and I sticking too it, can you say "Comfortably Numb?"

Al is the only one who gets it...... it's BETTER band.... not the best, not the most popular. It's like saying which is a better car, Pontiac or Chevy, We all know Mercedes better than those two, but of the two, which is better?

I got it!! I answered correctly :-)

However, except for a few of the major bands, I really don't know their names. I know songs I've heard before when I hear them, but who is the band??:confused3

I got it, Pete. Okay....if I have to make a choice from the lame groups you listed.... LRB. There...happy now???

My other choice was "mostly stoned", but that was only during the summer of 1973. Crazy brownies anyone???:thumbsup2
