Hi - my DBFF and I will be at the Boardwalk Villas in December and have reserved a 1-bedroom boardwalk view room. After looking at room maps & room locations, I'm trying to figure out the rooms with the best views!

I'm hoping someone has some pics or can give us their recommendation of their 1-bedroom BW view. Thanks!! (omg I can't wait to go!!)

I guess if view is your only criteria, then I'd suggest one of the rooms on the arm that runs towards the Swolphin. Your view from there may also let you see some of the high fireworks from Illuminations. But be aware that this is a long walk back to the lobby, the bus and Epcot.

Hmm....never thought about the long walk. We had a huge balcony during our last stay and was above the Wyland Gallery in a studio. I'm hoping to see pics of room views from the Boardwalk (guess we will suffer the long walk to enjoy the view lol).

We stayed in a one bdrm in Dec. a few years ago. We requested a boardwalk view but got a Luna pool view which was really nice. We could also see the swolphin in the back. While it was our first choice it really was lovely.:)

We just stayed in Room 4001 (Crest of the Wave). It is the last room on the floor. We had a gorgeous view of the boardwalk, the Yacht & Beach Club and Spaceship Earth. The photo of the Bakery and ESPN was taken from the balcony but I used my zoom. The walk was very very very long from the elevator to the room. It didn't bother me at all, or my kids, but dh wasn't carzy about it.

My wife and I just were there last week. We were in room 3001! The view was incredible:thumbsup2 We kept curtains pulled back so that every time we entered room we could see Spaceship Earth. Fireworks show from Epcot was good too. It was a great room with a great view and a perfect place to c

Thank you both! You are really getting me excited to see our view! We won't mind the walk as long as we are able to enjoy fantastic views.

I found this link http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf awhile back that had room locations and neither 4001 or 3001 are listed - are these both 1 bedrooms? (thanks for the pics, Tosie!)

All of the Boardwalk View rooms face pretty much the same way - all look out over the lake. Only about 20% of the rooms in the BWV are Boardwalk View and these are difficult to get. You won't find a single one that doesn't have a spectacular. You can walk to EPCOT in under 10 minutes from there and in under 15 minutes to the Studios. Plus the night life on the boardwalk is something you don't want to miss.

Room 3001 was 1 bedroom as well. Good luck! By the way, we made reservations about 6 months out.

Boardwalk views are the best in Disney IMHO.

Thanks! We had to reserve ours 11 months out and lucked out on the 1-bedroom. Looks like any of the BW views will be great.

Will enjoy any pics of any boardwalk views!

Rm5517!
Right near the elevator! One bedroom, we stayed this past December! I loved it..The balcony is the type you need to stand to see over.

I am horrible about remembering room numbers, and from all the posts I have read, I don't think it's the best idea to request a specific room, because if it's n/a, the agent won't know what else to do for you. I believe it's better request things such as "great fireworks view" or "high floor" or whatnot. For what it's worth, we have had a boardwalk view about 3-4 times with no specific requests (except maybe higher floor). We have never been disappointed with our view of the fireworks or the boardwalk. To me the longer the walk, the better the view, but long story short...you will probably be happy with what you get if it's a boardwalk view category...it might help to request a higher floor and good fireworks view if you want...

Thanks! I wasn't even aware I could request a specific room number but I will put on my list "great fireworks view" like you suggested and "high floor". I agree with you - I'll be happy with any room since boardwalk views are the best! I just love seeing pics of these views - makes the 6 mos wait not so long ;)

We had 3001 in Jan. Man, that was a hike down the hall. I have to say that it is my least favorite villa that I've had. Add to that the fact that we had the villa right next door last August, well, we just like a villa a bit closer to the elevators.

Just remember...a boardwalk view is pretty much guarenteed..only DVC members can book them. They will all face out onto the boardwalk itself. Generally speaking, they run from the edge of the Village Green down to over the Crest of the Wave, by Jellyrolls.
Villas overlooking a pool are considered to be preferred views. And some preferred view villas actually give you a decent view of the boardwalk. I have had the same studio, on the 5th floor, 2 doors down from the elevators, that had a great view of the boardwalk, without being a boardwalk view.

It was a litttle far from elevator but stairs were right across from room for easy access to pools and Boardwalk. It was very quiet down there as well:yay: On walks to elevator we were fortunate to meet a lot of cool people and we ended up not minding the walk at all.

Last year we had a 1 bedroom, top floor, as far as you could possibly walk. THE very last room on the canal side. Our view was the Swan/Dolphin, canal with the boats, it was GORGEOUS. I loved that view. However, it was one looooong haul to that room.

Yep, we got quite familier with those stairs...as well as a few other stairwells. We quickly figured out which ones opened close to where we wanted to be outside. But, walking up the stairs was not fun.

We had one there...overlooked the quiet pool. Loved it. I think we were the next to the last or two from the last, villa. I loved that villa.
