Does anyone know how much it costs to rent a tube (per hour or per day) at the Beach Club for use on their lazy river?

Good question--I am not sure. We will be resort guests from June 15-20 and I was just wondering if you had to pay to rent them.

is it free if you stay there?

Sorry, that is incorrect. The tube RENTALs are available at SAB. We do not rent them, but my kids have on past trips. We usually just buy a couple of noodles when staying at the BCV and use them--a lot cheaper, plus it keeps more of your body in the cool water during those hot days.

I didn't know you can use noodles in the lazy river. Where do you buy these? I prefer a noodle over the intertube. Its a bit more graceful :rotfl2:

We always buy them at Publix when we arrive. Not sure if they sell them at any of the resorts. They are usually about $2 and like you said, a little more graceful....::yes::

We've bought them at BC where they rent the tubes. I'm guessing around $4. :confused3 We buy a couple and then hand them off to someone at the pool on our last day.

Beautiful! Can we use the noodles in other parts of SAB as well? I love the noodle.

thanks everyone :goodvibes

OP, sorry for the hijack....now does anyone know the answer to OP's question? How much is the tube rental?

I read over in the sticky about the BC/YC that tubes are $3 an hour to rent or $10 for the whole day. They (posters on that thread) suggest you bring your own. They also sell noodles for $4. We already bought some tubes. We will be at the BCV 6/23-27.

We always bring our own tubes for the week & then on our check-out day we give them to another family to use.

They are cheap at Target (about $3.00) & then you don't have to worry about telling yours apart from the rental ones at BCV.

But how do you blow them up? I remember a couple years back when the kids used to wear water wings - I'd nearly pass out blowing those things up. They are not made how they used to be (back in the olden days) now you keep blowing and blowing and the darn thing doesn't even expand.

Wow. All of you are so helpful. If they sell them right at Beach Club for $4, that's a no-brainer since we will not have a rental car to shop offsite. Thanks for all of the advice!

They sell NOODLES for $4. I believe that they only RENT tubes and that is for $3 an hour or $10 a day. If you are 3 people and will be there a week, that's $210 spent on renting tubes!!!

I suggest buying some tubes at home before you leave on your trip and putting them in your suitcase. When they are new, they take up very little room.

The CMs working at the tube rental shop let us use their electric compressor last year to inflate our tubes. This summer we will just rent. The ones from Target were a bit small for DSs 12&16. Although, they would be great for younger kids, just make sure they are transparent.

On the threads from last year, the posters said that the tubes did not have to be transparent. Apparently, they used to have to be (I assume because they did not let you bring your own?) but now you can bring any type/color/size of tube and use your own. They said they were 36 inch transparent tubes. There were all kinds of threads listing where on the Internet you could buy these particular tubes and was a big deal, but then the CMs relaxed their restrictions. Apparently. That's what I remember reading....

Thanks for the update! Last year before our trip, we were told transparent only (this was the first trip we decided to bring our own tubes and I got to Target ASAP and purchased several of those round colorful tranparent tubes). Guess it has changed, sure will make it easier on those wishing to bring their own tubes!

Please note that I have never actually been there (going next week!) but this is just what I remember reading on another thread. I could be totally wrong.....

We are bringing our own tubes. If we can use them, great! If we can't, then we will rent. I would just hate to get there and find out that you can use your own and not have my own and have to spend $200 if I didn't have to. I mean, if I have to, I will, but I'd prefer not to if possible. KWIM????
