Just wondering if this is even worth a shot, but we were there 2 years ago and purchased 4 Disney mugs to use at All Star Music and we still use them now and then at home. Would there be any chance they can still be used when we go back in a few weeks, or, as I am guessing, do they change the color/style and design?

I doubt it would work, just a thought....
:rolleyes1

The design changed and its against Disney's policy to use the mug after the stay on which you purchased it

Well, I figured the design has changed as I am also sure many people do not follow every single Disney policy, otherwise we would live in a perfect world. :rotfl2:

That being said, if the design was the same, who would question someone if they purchased it today or 2 years ago. popcorn::

Just a thought.....

Be careful this is an issue that people have STRONG feelings about.

You are supposed to purchase a new mug with each visit. The current design is a blue and white Year of a Million Dreams at every resort except CB.

You're right - rules and policies are for other people - why should you have to follow them?

When I bought a WL mug back in 1997 I was sure they said it could be used for repeat trips. Last year we went back to WL, we bought the new mugs, but by the end of the trip I had filled up the old ones a few times because the new ones are so small. We are going back in a few weeks and we will once again buy new ones, but I am still going to pack the ones from '97 because I want to fill them up at least once during our visit for old times sake.

We love buying refillable mugs each time we goto WDW (plus it's another resort). We love to use the mugs when we get home.
Plus the mugs are a not very expensive sovenier of our WDW vacation !

Please do not reuse at WDW. Reuse the mugs at home and enjoy new ones at WDW.

I've done the "bring the old mug back, who's gonna know" thing before...honestly, I didn't feel good about it. We buy new mugs every time and use them at home.

Good luck w/ your decision.

Disney's policy is that the mugs are to be used for the length of your current stay. I think years ago the policy was that you could bring previously purchased mugs and reuse them, but not anymore . I, honestly, don't see the big deal about spending the money for new mugs :confused3. We are a family of 4 and we purchase new mugs every year. I figure we are already spending $4000+ to be there, what's another $50???? Plus the mugs make great souvies and use them alot at home ::yes::. You're the only one who can decide what to do, but I wouldn't take an old mug to reuse just to save $13, but that's just me :rolleyes1.

I see people do it every trip and really don't see the big deal in doing so. That being said; I would not do it only not to have to lug 4 mugs from home. We are simply not that organized.

Right there with you, I only read for the entertainment factor. I guess I should be cleaning house instead but I have to wonder why folks post these questions knowing the moral police is going to jump all over it?popcorn:: :rotfl:

The rules state that they are only good for the length of your current stay. That's it, plain and simple.

If you think that rules apply to everyone else but you than go ahead. I would not question it and most likely Disney won't either. I hope you explain to your children that rules don't apply to them either.

While you are at it, you might as well cut in line for attractions. The rules state that you can't but we've already been down that route.

Yes the Moral Police are quick, decisive and severe.
God bless the uninitiated!

Well, that is why if we lived in a world ruled by Disney policy, it would be nice and peaceful. ::yes:: Again, I never said I would do it and even if others said they had, that does not mean I would. ;)

We were BBQing this past weekend and because we are leaving for Disney soon, I took the mugs out for us to enjoy and I asked my wife, "I wonder if people bring these mugs back year after year?" I didn't want to start a war, but as I had figured, others here have done it and yet others see others doing it as well. :scared1:

Because I want to be seen as moral to the Disney Gods, I will state right now that I will not be taking my mugs and I will be sure to make Disney aware of anyone using outlawed mugs when I am there....:furious:

Don't get me wrong I love the different disney cups & i already have a collection. but if I see that I already have them, then why would I buy the same cup for every stay (just my thought:confused3 ). Come on people its just a cup!!! its not gonna hurt anybody. If they tell you something , which I HIGHLY doubt it, then just buy a new one or just buy the regular cups. But as everyone says its your desision.

Excuse me? Kind of rude and peronal no?

1) I never seen or heard of the rules in regards to refill mugs, sorry.

2) Don’t worry what I tell my children in regards to rules, remember, there are followers and leaders.

3) What if I or one of my children had a handicap that allowed us to move ahead in line? How dare you say such horrible things.
