Beach Club-Walking to Epcot???

I have read in posts that it is about a five to ten minute walk to the backgate of Epcot that enters the WOrld Showcase. My question is, is there a bus that will bring you to the front entrance? I am asking because we don't really go to the WS and usually spend most of our time in Future World. I think it will be hard to walk all the way around WS in the heat (we are leaving in two weeks) and than to walk it again to get back to the Beach Club. I think there is a boat that will bring you to Epcot, but is that to the front gate or back entrance??

There is no bus/boat to the front. You are let in through the International Gate and have to hoof it from England to the front of the park.

The boat brings you to the back - International Gateway.

I don't believe there are any buses from Yacht & Beach Club to the FW side of Epcot. If you really want to be on that side, you will need to take a taxi.

Coudn't you just take the water taxi across the lake to FW? I don't think that would take any longer than if you were to wait for a bus..which apparently they don't offer...or to even take a taxi to Epcot. It's such a short walk..literally five minutes..and then take the water taxi to FW.
Honestly we don't ever enter Epcot through FW. We always go to the Beach Club first..since we schedule a meal at Cape May Cafe. Then we follow up with a visit to Epcot. Never found that entering through World Showcase was an issue. Find it to be very enjoyable and relaxing.

You might want to consider a stay at the Poly..and take a monorail from there to Epcot. That way you would end up where you'd like to be.

Epcot is maybe a 5 minute walk from BC!:rotfl2: And from there a short walk to FW 5-10 min(not even half way around WS) There is no bus to WS!:rotfl2:

Depending on your timing, the water taxi could take much longer than walking. You have to walk from IG over the bridge to France, then get the boat in Morocco and it would take you over near the FW entrance (provided it doesn't stop in any other countries first - who knows what they do?). Oh, and another thought - if it's before 11 AM, I'm thinking the water taxis won't be running as WS doesn't open until 11 - are they running before WS opens?

No, the Friendship boats within Epcot don't operate before 11am. I agree that would take longer anyway.

But I agree with auntie that the Polynesian is actually the most convenient hotel for FW. BC is for England, France and maybe a couple others. The rest of the countries are probably a tie.

But it really isn't a bad walk to FW from BC lovinpoohbear. And it is very nice to stroll back to your hotel after dinner in WS or Illuminations.

From the IG entrance, it is a 5 minute walk (at most) to FW. You walk past the England and Canada pavilions and you are at FW. To take the water taxis to get to the exact same place, you would have to walk away from FW through France to Morocco. It is probably just as far to walk that way (only to have to get on a boat) as it would be to walk directly to FW.

Thanks for clarifying. I was asking because I read in the Unofficial Guide that the Beach Club's main weakness was the "inconvenient transportation to Epcot" I forget how the book worded it exactly.
If it is about a 5-10 minute walk to the IG, on average how far of a walk is it to Future World? I have a adr for Coral Reef for lunch. Thanks in advance!

Technically, it's not the "back" entrance. Looking at a map, the entrance is really on the side of the world showcase. As a previous poster said, all you have to do is walk past United Kingdom, and Canada and you're at that bridge that connects the World Showcase to Futureworld. Depending on how fast you walk, 5 to 10 minutes and you'll be at the dancing fountains.

I've never understood that in the tour books, even at a stroll it's never taken us more than 7 minutes to walk from England to Soarin' UG always makes it sound like you're on a hike to Mt. Kilamanjaro. :confused3

if you are interested in Soarin' - just go through the rose garden and Soarin' is almost where it ends (journey is)

i think she mean to take the boat from FW to the MK and then transfer to the monrail.

but the bus is quicker - oh yea - you have to transfer from buses to other buses at FW.

if entering through Future World is necessary you could take a taxi from the beach club. The walk is def doable and you will make your adr in time! i would not worry about it
