Please help me decide

We are currently booked (and paid) for 10 day trip in FW cabins.
I choose this because the campgrounds look lovely and I always wanted to drive a golf cart.
This said.
Today, I recieved an offer for Beach Club, the price is only 230 dollars more.

Should I switch, my dh really wanted to stay their to begin with, but I told him the cabin would be better because of the extra space and savings.

However, now there really is no savings , espcially considering the golf cart rental is over 350 dollars'

Space is still an issue, will we feel crowded in BC.

what would you do?

I love the Bc and you really can't beat its location.However, if space is an issue you are better off with the cabin.They are nice to have the extra room.I am staying at the BCV in a 1bdr ( I got a great discount)I looked at theregula price per night and almost had a stroke.

My view is a bit slanted because I have always wanted to stay at BC...hands down I would forget the extra space and go with beach club. You have stormalong bay, beaches and cream, cape may....

The BC is a wonderful resort. My kids loved Storm Along Bay. (and so did I ) They have some really nice restaurants there and you are only a short stroll to Epcot.

Would a standard bc room feel cramped? have you ever stayed in standard bc?

I would go with BC because of location. Walking to Epcot is really convenient.

I think that the BC is the most beautiful resort at WDW. I would definitely pick that over FW, even with the loss of space.

This really depends on how big your kids are. How big are they? Will they mind sharing a bed? Will one of them fit on the day bed?

If your kids are smallish, I would no doubt hit the BC!

Never mind, I see the ages now, you should be fine at BC, I wouldn't worry about being crowded. I didn't know if you had big kids.

You didn't mention your kids' ages so I can't really give you a clear answer.

Based purely on amenities from an adult standpoint, I would switch to BC in a heartbeat. You have fast and easy access to Epcot AND DHS and the Boardwalk to play on as well. There are so many places to eat in that area also that you will never have a problem.

From a kid (and also adult) standpoint, you have Stormalong Bay which is just awesome plus all of the kid activities at the two parks that are close-by.

The only con I could think of besides the room size are the buses. BC, YC, BWI and Swan/Dolphin all SHARE buses. It could get pretty crowded pretty fast. Just something to think about.

In defense of FW, there are a gabillion activities for kids that are free/low-cost. They can even just run around outside to expend energy if they aren't completely wiped out from the parks.

Of course, keep in mind that I am not a camper. I have never frequented a campground and a campground has never appealed to me. Folks that stay at FW have nothing but good things to say about it, except that it is huge and transportation can be confusing. We have gone to FW for HDDR and MBBBQ and it really seems like a fun place for families. It is just not my thing.

Have you considered a split stay? You could 5 days at one and 5 at the other. That is a good amount of time to experience both resorts.

If I was lucky enough to be able to go that long, I think I would try two different ones. The resorts will move your luggage for you. You just leave it w/ bell services and they will transport it for you. Go the park, enjoy and then over to your new resort, check in and they bring you your luggage.

We plan on going marathon weekend in January and if I can swing the price, I hope to do 2 nights at Poly then the other nights at Coronado Springs.

your husband wants to stay there.

the kids will love the pool - you were not planning on going to the parks right? - if you were planning on the parks would try to make sure the kids don't see the pool until you are ready for it.

the problem that I see is your and your husband might need to separate - there is kids pool great for 5 & 3 year old - but the 9 year old will want to do the BIG pool.

don't eat at Beaches & Cream until you are ready for the kids to go swimming.

you can walk to Epcot, boat to Studios - at night walk the BW - the kids will love those survey bikes.

A split stay is a great idea, if you don't mind packing up. If you need to laundry during your trip, this could be a good time to do it, repack and switch resorts.

I think with three children I would go with FW. I'm not a camper, but there seems to be so much for children to do there. Not to mention having kitchen facilities for quick meals/snacks that also might save a bit of money!

We are staying at the WL this year. It was only $139 more than a preferred section at a moderate. (Value rates at deluxe when only summer rates at mods)

The split stay is just what I was going to suggest! We have stayed at both and they are both great! My kids love them both and they are ages 5, 7, 10 and 11.

Be sure to make time for the petting zoo, fishing, the campfire, etc. at FW. We wanted to do these but my husband got sick and we ran out of time.
