A Happy Memorial Day to All!
Thank You for Your Service and Please Come Home Safely!

May God bless you all and your families also.:goodvibes

Thank you to all the soldiers throughout the years that have sacrificed for our freedoms.

In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

John McCrae (1872-1918)

Yes, to past and present service people - THANK YOU for your service!

We greatly appreciate your sacrifice AND the sacrifices of your families when you are away.

May God bless you all!

May God Bless AMERICA!!!

(we need a flag icon!!)

Thanks for all of your support! As I posted before, it's nice to hear something so positive when all we usually hear is the negative. Jennifer:)

Yes, THANK YOU! Gosh those words seem so small compared to the sacrifices that have been made over the years and continue to be made today!:grouphug: I found this poem and wanted to post it it was on the www.ellenbailey.com website. It says a lot and reminds us to go out and get those flags up today - it's the least we can do!

The Flag
Author Unknown

I raised a flag today
A flag with fifty stars
I raised a flag today
A flag with thirteen bars.

I raised a flag today
To honor those who died
I raised a flag today
And then I stood and cried.

I wept and cursed and prayed
And had to wonder "why?"
Angst and anger welled inside me
And then I saw it fly.

The flag snapped briskly in the wind
It unfurled in the sky
Its glory rose above my fears
Its freedom was not denied.

The symbol of our country
The banner of our pride
The flag of these United States
Flew boldly at my side.

I raised a flag today
But the flag, it lifted me.
I raised a flag today
For all the world to see.

I raised a flag today
And upon seeing it, I knew:
Above the dusty, ashen gray would rise
The red, the white, and the blue.

Thank you all for doing this. As a daughter of a Soldier that is leaving in a few weeks for a 15 month tour to Iraq. I am very glad that people haven't forgotten their sacrific. To all of the other military families, God Bless you and keep your chin up.

I have family member who served and was seriously injured in Iraq 4 years ago. There have been members of my family actively serving in the military since 1961. Because of that, this day has always been VERY, VERY important to us.

So, a great big :grouphug: to all of you who have and are still serving. We appreciate the sacrifice you are making for us and our families as well as your own. :lovestruc

All I can say is Thank You!! All too often we just think about the day off, and not about the people this day should be honoring.

]I just want to send my deepest gratitude to all who are serving or have served in our Armed Forces!
:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:
:thanks: Thank you to you and your family!!!!

Thank you and God Bless all the service men and women, past, present and future!
God Bless America!

As military wife, a simple thanks is what seals in my heart DH is doing the right thing not only for our family but for our country. I have seen firsthand what a simple thanks can do for not only DH but for others fighting. It can help them carry on and do the missions.
