Has anyone stayed at here? Traveling next week to DL and am nervous about the hotel. Usually stay on property, but staying off property this time. Any comments good or bad will be appreciated.

Here's the website so you can see some pictures.

Don't worry. It is a very nice place with free breakfast and exclusive shuttle to and from the parks. Except for the firework noise, the hotel is nice and quiet and the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is very friendly.

Stayed there many times myself and enjoyed each stay.

We are staying there in August. Read the reviews on trip advisor.....that should ease any qualms you might have!

We stay there every March. I love that I don't have to do the ART and can catch the hotel shuttle and I also love that when I open up/close down DL I can walk back to the room.

We have always found the staff accomodating.

Hope that you have a GREAT time! :)

Its a good hotel, you won't have a bad stay there. Rooms a little small, and not as close a walk as some others but still about the same distance as Paradise Pier so not too far.

We only stay there when not at one of the resort hotels. Anytime we've needed 'attention' either to our room, or more pool towels, etc....they are right on it. :thumbsup2 It's also nice to have their continental breakfast in the morning. We'll be there again in September ;)

Wonderful hotel! :thumbsup2 We stayed there last May & it was perfect! We went down to San Diego for 1 night in the middle of our trip & were sooo happy to come back to the CCI. The staff was wonderful, the room was great, the walk to the parks wasn't a problem, the shuttle was a nice option, the breakfast was good (we stayed in a Premium Room so it was sent up to the room every morning), DH and the kids enjoyed the pool (although it was a tad on the small side)......I can't say one negative thing about it. Enjoy your stay!

We were there about 3 weeks ago, we highly enjoyed it. Nice room, good breakfast, good staff, the shuttle was great after a long day at the parks but the walk there wasn't bad at all. We would stay there again for sure!

I know they have their own shuttle however I am curious how many of you actually used it and if it ran on time, etc.?

What is ART? Why would one need it? Sorry for the dumb question.

Friends of ours stayed there, shuttle runs every 30 minutes, seemed to be on time but they seldom used it, if it was there they used it otherwise they walked as it was only 10 minutes from the shuttle stop. They were dissappointed with the hotel as it advertised it was only 250 yards from the maingate when in fact it was more than double that. They had an issue with the room size for a family of four as well, but it was clean and the staff were helpful and the grounds are beautiful.

We used it all the time. It runs to DLR every 30 minutes (hour and half hour). Runs from DLR every 30 minutes :-)15 and :45).

On the way to DLR, it makes a pass through the parking lot (so you don't HAVE to walk up to the front to catch it. You can wait by your room.).

What is ART? Why would one need it? ...

Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) is a shuttle system that services the hotels, DLR, and the Anaheim Convention Center. It typically costs $3/day for adults and $1/day for children.

The hotels on Harbor Blvd between the HoJo and Candy Cane Inn are only a 5 to 10 minute walk to DL, so IMO ART wouldn't be needed for most of the guests at those hotels.

Here is the ART web-site: www.rideart.org/

Here is the ART Route Map: www.rideart.org/ART-Map.pdf

HTH :earsboy:

We are staying there again in June. The shuttle is VERY nice. Door-to-door service sure beats the buses the other hotels share. The were always prompt and the drivers are pleasant. We walked it back one night, but took the shuttle the rest of the time to preserve our tootsies.

It is a nice place. The breakfast, shuttle and cleanliness are great. It is a good value.

The shuttle was always on time, it leaves the hotel on the hour and half hour, it leaves DL on the :15 & :45. One time we *missed* it but he saw us on his way out and stopped for us. He did let us know that they aren't supposed to pick up unless you are the "stop". For us that wasn't a problem, we were right next to the stop. :)
The walk was only 10 minutes, very doable in the morning if you missed the shuttle but at night we chose to wait instead of walk. :) Rather rest our feet and use a free shuttle then walk back. :)

Thanks everyone for the comments. It looks like this is a great place. Walking to the park in the morning is no big deal I am usually so excited that it goes very fast. It is good to know that the shuttle runs so often and is reliable. At the end of the day the shuttle may be the perfect answer to more walking.

Greetings All,
Well you were right this place is great! Some of the places this close to the park are very run down due to the volume of people through them in a year. This one is a hidden gem. The room was good, and there was no noise from the outside and they just did it right. There was no noise from the rooms next door or outside which I can not say for the other hotels in this area. The shuttle was prompt and very helpful. They were on time and made a big difference at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly and did try to meet all of my needs. The beds were comfy and lead to a good nights sleep

Thanks Again All,
Don

Thanks for posting your experience Don. :thumbsup2

My experience there was similar....the CCI is a nice little place & fits a good economic yet quality niche for alot of us.
