Quick Food at GCH when Whitewater Snacks is Closed

We're likely arriving at the GCH a little after 7 on a Friday evening. We'll be tired from travelling and want to be rested for the parks the next day. What would be a quick dinner either in or not far from the hotel? I was looking at the lounge menu and my ds 11 would like most things but perhaps not my ds 7 (he's beyond kids meals but most of the choices are quite eclectic). Thanks for the ideas!

stoytellers cafe has a pretty normal menu and DTD is so close with so many options.

There are some counter service type options at DTD...you can get pizza by the slice at Naples...its' a little pricey but we thought is was good. Tortilla Joe's has a counter service window too. There's a smoothie place too (can't remember the name of it, but they are wonderful!)
DTD is very easy and accessible from the GCH...

There's always Mimi's and McDonalds on Harbor, right across from there. Not a far walk. I'd probably grab something in DTD.

It's kind of pricey, but there's always roomservice. They're pretty fast and the food was fabulous when we did it. They had several things on there that my kids liked. Then you can kick back and watch a video or the princess storytelling channel while you relax and eat.

We just got back a week or so ago - Storytellers would be fine - the meals are quite large but there were plenty of options for our kids (8 and 10) plus you have a buffet option if you prefer.

Room service was also very good. You are , as others have pointed out, very close to DTD, so you could also grab a pizza at Naples.

There's also La Brea Bakery in DTD. They have a section you can sit down for service and I believe there is also a section where you can pick up food.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that DTD is really that close to GCH! I haven't visited DL since 1981 so I can't picture the area or distances at all!

Yes, GCH is very close, shoot, some rooms are even on top of DTD, just get on the balcony and look down!! (My ds loves that you can do that!)

Here's a Wikimapia view of GCH and DTD.

(I'd never noticed that ESPNZone has a baseball diamond painted on the roof - very clever!)

We went to Storytellers on our first night - our kids were jet-lagged and tired after a day of travel. As long as there are tables, it's a good option. We found it to be fast, especially if you choose the buffet. DTD is another great option. Our kids quite liked the pizza. The other suggestions here are also good.

Have fun!
