Quick question

Hey guys! :)

Quick question--(that's probably asked a lot)--which is the cheapest hotel close to Disneyland that's not a dump? The way I figure it, we'll just need it for two nights, and I'm trying to save as much money as possible. (Leave for California on a Friday, have the hotel to sleep that night, go to Disneyland all day Saturday, sleep that night, wake up, leave, come home Sunday.)

I'm going to check websites and all that, but I figured I'd stop in here and get some info from you guys first.

Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

Check out the Ramada Inn Maingate, they usually have some pretty decent rates and are below most of the others.

Ive been able to get very decent rates from Desert Inn and Suites, it is located just to the left, or the right depending which way you are looking, to the crosswalk that leads to the park. I am the same way, we are only there to sleep and shower afterall. We have stayed there several times and will be again this October. We are there Halloween weekend, and we got Saturday and Sunday night for only $59! (Halloween night was a bit more, but not much!!) I always tell my DH that I dont mind to pay a few dollars more/night to be that close to the park!

When will you be traveling?
HTH!

There are 2 Super 8's close by, I've never stayed there though. Good luck!!

I have found the lowest rates right across the street at Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Del Sol Inn.

I hope to leave Friday June 6th, go to Disneyland June 7th, and then head home Sunday, the 8th.

And thanks everyone. :)

If you can push your trip back one week, Hojo is showing Entertainment Rate available for June 13 and 14th. $59 for a non-disney view and $74 for a delux view room

We've stayed at the Ramada Inn Maingate before, but this year their prices were way above what we had paid in prior years - and that's inquiring 6 months ahead of time.

This year we're getting a much better rate at the HoJo - they give a 15% discount to anyone on the DIS, and I've heard they're a great place to stay and just the same walking distance as the Ramada.

It's the Howard Johnson on Harbor Blvd. You can find the information for them here on the DIS (sorry - I can't remember where!). When you call you need to tell them that you're on the DISboards and have heard of the discount.

Granted, I did make our reservations in January for our late June trip, so we got a great deal.

I'll look into it...thanks a lot! :flower3:

When you call make sure to ask for in-house reservations :) Lorealle is SUPER!

Here's a link to the HoJo boards... this link describes the Entertainment rate. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=13&sid=fc6326d5cf974e5ed5f10f7934fc65ea If you can push back your dates and get the rate, it would be quite cheap and a very comfortable room. You pay $15. and free shipping for the current book (cause we're halfway through the year, so it's cheap) and you can get the one for your area-- you just have to have the card.

As the PP said, do call HoJo's and ask for IN HOUSE reservations, though. If you don't, you get somebody in India who will know nothing about the Entertainment rate and will sometimes tell you there is no such thing, or it's not available.

HoJo is across the street and up about a block. It's about a 8 minute walk, especially if you cross the street and walk on the Disney side, which is uncrowded compared to the hotel side. Here's a map of nearby hotels: http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Teehee.

Adding on...you need to call the actual Anaheim hotel, not any main Howard Johnson's hotel number. :)

Just in case you have APs, they also offer a 20% discount for AP holders instead of the 15% Disboard member discount.

Also, there's a Motel 6 that I've heard is not bad.
