Just wondering if anyone thinks the new Toy Story ride will have lines as crazy as the Nemo ride is.

We will be there in Oct so hopefully things might die down for Nemo but just wondering what Toy Story will be like.

Don't think it will be more then 2 hours when it first opens, the ride itself to me is not as "big" as Nemo.

The lines should not be as bad as Nemo. The Nemo lines are bad because of the small amount of people that can ride at a time, plus the load / unload times. Toy story wil be more like Buzz- fast loading with lots of cars. I would expect longer lines the first few weeks when its new, but by Oct you should be fine.

I hope so, DS is much more of Toy Story fan then Nemo. I am looking forward to riding both, but not looking forward to the lines. We use FPs and Ridemax so I am sure I will be able to work out a plan

Any new attraction will have crazy long lines and TS will be no different. That said, just play the angles and it should be a breeze. I can't wait.

I would say for the first month or so having a hour to hour and a half wait. Supposedly the track will be like Mansion and the cars will keep moving for easy load and unload. For sure by October I see it only having a 30 minute or less wait.

Now that I think about it, how come they aren't making such a big deal about this new ride like they did with Nemo? Anyone know?

Subs was one of the rides that had always been at Disneyland. When it reopened as Nemo, of course it was a big thing because the Subs which many of us grew up with, came back. Toy Story Mania is on the same scale as any dark ride even though its quite interactive like Buzz. Like in the same Disney fashion, there will be a big media event but definitely not on the same scale as Nemo. There really isn't any need for such a media/celeb blitz IMO.

Very true and a very good point, thanks! :thumbsup2

Ooo, I cannot wait to try this ride out!

Does anyone know if it will be a FastPass ride?

When we were at DCA last month we got stuck on M. Madness. While talking with a CM on our walk off the ride I asked him if TSM would have Fast Pass and he said "no".
My question is why???:confused3
I know that the one opening in WDW will have FastPass! I have been researching because I will have a short trip to WDW at the end of May and plan on checking this ride out so I can compare the two when I go back to DL later this year! :cool1:
Why would they put FastPass at WDW and not DLR?

Because the ride isnt quick enough to be able to deal with a fastpass line. I actually had a chance to ride it today. Quite fun... :) Half the time, your waiting for the train in front of you to finish up. This isnt like Buzz where its a continueous motion, its a ride where it stops at each screen for like 20-30 sec.

I really enjoyed it, at first i thought it was lame but i was really really fun, wouldnt mind going on it again.
