Early December Crowd

I'm contemplating which week would be better to go to Disneyland. You are all so helpful and so thought I'd ask here. I'm thinking either November 30-Dec. 4 or Dec. 7-11. How do you think the crowds are at these times? Which week would possibly be less crowded? I've heard about the cast parties and candlelight processional but am confused about when those might be and how those would impact our trip.

This has been asked in the past few weeks a few times... including by me! It looks like Candlelight will be the weekend of 6 and 7 with CM Parties likely on 1 and 2, possibly on 8 and 9. DL will close early for the CM parties, as I've heard, and I believe DCA is open later on those nights. CP gets pretty crowded so I'm told. I booked Dec 3-7, but then I added Nov dates and plan to choose for sure when it gets closer. Hope that helps!

My experience going in early December has been that the crowds have been fine during the day. However, it tends to get crowded in the evening. I'm guessing locals come in at that time to see the holiday decorations, fireworks, etc.

I've seen the Candlelight Processional at Disney World many times. Where is it held in Disneyland? Do you need a special ticket? If it's only one weekend, I imagine it's crowded. I'm thinking about going in early December.

It's held on Main Street just below the Train Station. They set up risers and a stage and seating in Town Square. The seating does require a special ticket which includes a dinner package. They are quite expensive and I believe they are offered to AP's first. You can see the show without a ticket, you just won't have a chair and you have to stake out your spot on Main Street pretty early in the day.

I was planning a trip Dec 7-8. If the 8th is just closed a little early, it won't disrupt our plans.

They close at 6 pm for CM parties. They do still have fireworks at 5:45, however.

We went last year December 11-17. During our first part of the trip the park wasnt bad to get around and didnt have to wait all that long for a ride. Later in our trip more and more people showed up for the start of Christmas Break. We are considering going the 1st week in December this time around and see how the crowds are then.
