accuweather.com is currently predicting it will be 102 in DL this Friday. Doesn't that seem like they might be exaggerating the heat a bit?

that wouldn't surprise me...it is suppose to be in the 80's in Seattle and the 90's in Portland:scared:

It hit 102 when we where there last month, it was even mentioned in the USA Today as the hottest place for that day!!!!

Yup that is what they are expecting. Pretty normal for this area.. The weather can be funky!

How did you manage that? We are actually considering canceling our trip because of it. I could deal with 90, it'd be hot and uncomfortable but the mornings and evenings would be ok... but when it's 102 even the mornings and evenings are gross

The reason I question it is because they are calling for 106 here in the central valley and if that actually happened it'd be the hottest May day in history. Any time they predict a record it always seems to turn out an exaggeration here.

weather.com has DL at 88 on Friday so 102 may be inaccurate

There's a high pressure system building over the Southwest. We are expecting our first 100 of the year this weekend here as well.

The mornings and evenings shouild be very comfortable in Anaheim. The worst part of the day will be mid afternoon. That's when you head towards the air conditioned shows or an early dinner

Nope sorry plan on that being accurate. I am in the Bay Area and they are telling us a heat wave will be rolling in Tomorrow through Friday. What we get first LA gets next. So stock up on water and sun screen.

Yowza. 102? That is HOT! That's weird because it's been pretty cool here this past week.. I live about 80 miles north of DLR, and we're usually about 10 or more degrees cooler since we're by the beach, and according to accuweather is says in my area it's going to be 85.. So I won't be suprised if it is 102 in Anaheim..

Ick. Hot hot hot.

EDIT: Reading some more it looks like it's going to be some Santa Ana winds in the DLR area too.. Boo. That's the worst..

I almost cried when I was checking the weather report last night and saw that it was supposed to be 102 here. I think it's time for me to go to the mountains. The weather is so ridiculous in California

My iphone was reporting 90 degrees when i last checked it yesterday.

A friend of mine was there a few weeks ago and it was that temperature. So it does not really shock me. But yeah that is super hot.

super hot is more like the 117 degrees we get in vegas during july and august, now that's hot!

That is what Fritz the weather guy said on the news last night...hot on Thursday and Friday, in the 100's in the inland areas.

On the plus side, the mornings are always pleasant and it does not get hot until the afternoon. I am not sure I would cancel a trip due to it, as that is simply the high, not the temperature for the entire day. Plan to do outside things in the morning, do some of the inside things with A/C in the afternoon, then take a cool nap/rest before dinner and it will be fine again after dinner.

It is much different here than the muggy, oppressive heat of Orlando, where it gets hot first thing in the morning and never lets up.

Come have fun!

Yeah yesterday accuweather.com said 93 for Friday but this morning they changed it to 102. weather.com says 88 for Friday and a couple other sites said 96. Haven't we made sufficient advancements to be able to predict the temperature 3 days out a little more accurately?

to anyone who has been in the park when it's 95+ degrees, do the crowds behave differently? (aside from the obvious... I'm sure Grizzly will be more popular than usual). I can't imagine sitting on a curb in 102 and watching a parade. Geez, I feel sorry for the poor characters in the parade when it's that hot.

I LOVE the heat!!!!
It was actually better that the heat at WDW, as it was a dry heat.

Blech! I am so dreading that!! What the heck was I thinking moving here???? :rotfl:

Oh well, that's what A/C is for. :thumbsup2

Now 102 degrees, walking around all day at Disneyland, with all those other hot bodies brushing past you? Um, no thanks. :scared:

I've been there in the past when it's been in the upper 90's and I was miserable. I just wouldn't do it. But that's just me and it's no secret I cannot tolerate the heat.

For any DISers who will be there in that heat, try to stay cool and hydrated!

When we were there 2 weeks ago (last weekend in April) and it went over 100 degrees. But it was very pleasant in the evening. As long as it is not too crowded I do okay. It is the heat AND crowds that do me in!;)
