Parking at the Dolphin?

We are staying at the dolphin for a dance competition. I have heard that the parking for the dolphin is a bit inconveniient. How far is it and should I just do the valet parking? And why isn't there a refrigerator in this hotel. Considering it is a luxury hotel, I don't understand why something so basic as a fridge isn't included.

I am going to the swan for the firsttime in June and recently sent an email to the concierge about renting a fridge for $12 a day as posted on there website. They responded that there is now an empty fridge in the room for no charge. I would assume this also applies to the dolphin as well.

No, we were just there and there is no frig in the Dolphin rooms. (we took a cooler and filled it with ice) However with the money we saved vs. certain competing hotels, $12. per day extra would not have been a big deal.

As far as the parking, it's quite simple. You can drop off your bags, then go park. It's $11. p/d and you exit w/ your room key. You may come and go as you please. You exit the hotel grounds to the right and take your 1st right into the parking lot (you actually wind up right in front of their convention center) which is no more than 2 blks back to the hotel. Or, you may of course valet for $16 plus tip, but I didn't find self parking a big inconvenience at all.

Have fun!:cool1:
P.S. And speak to them about getting those frig's in their rooms!;)

Luxury hotels don't have fridges, they have mini-bars. The theory is that people staying in "true" deluxe hotels generally don't bring thier own.... The Dolphin does have mini-bars.

Parking has never been an issue for me. I find it easy to park and walk in. Now if there is a BIG evening event it can be a little crowded!
