I went to the following website to make a donation in memorial of Bawb.

http://www.hospiceofthecomforter.org/

There is a place to click on the left side of the home page where you can make a secure donation in memorial.

I thought I would post this because some of us tend to do everything online, like me, and it would increase the number of donations to this charity that has been chosen by the family.

I really feel bad for Diana since I too recently lost my husband both suddenly and unexpectedly and the shock is so great and the pain is overwhelming. If we can get together and make donations to this cause, I think it will help to ease her pain to some small degree.

Thank you TammyAlphabet.

I am very sorry to read of your recent loss.

Thank you for posting this Tammy. I just made my donation, and I too want to express my sympathies for the loss of your husband.

Tammy,
I would like to offer my condolences as well. Thank you for posting the link.

Thanks for the link, Tamy. I'm so sorry about your loss.

When y'all checked-out, did you send notification to anyone? I was wondering so that mine would match up. TIA.

Tammy, Thank you so much for posting that link. I went over, made my donation, and wrote Diana a short message. I feel so very sad for her.

Tammy, I am truly sorry to hear about your husband. Do you mind telling me his name so that I can add him to my prayers? I will be praying for all of you.

Thanks for all the condolences, I do appreciate them. I know that a memorial fund was set up for our children and the outpouring from the community did make me feel that the small world I live in did understand and relate to the great loss that we felt. And it was a tribute to my husband, which did ease my pain some to know that he was appreciated and loved.

Tammy, my condolences to you. I admire your generousity in taking time to think of others when you are grieving your own loss as well.

Having the link readily available made donating easy and it allowed me to share in grieving. Thx also to PPs who let us know where our messages could be sent.

Best to all :grouphug:

Just bumping this up since this is the charity that Pete said Diana had mentioned.

Yes, I believe this is the hospice where Diana(r) works. Not sure where I heard that, but I could have sworn that Bawb's wife is a hospice nurse. Incidentally, I live right around the corner from this place. It used to be a very tiny place, not much bigger than a storefront. But it has recently expanded to a much bigger, much nicer facility with what looks like several apartment-like rooms with their own balconies and everything. I've never been inside, but I drive by it daily and the change has been quite impressive. It is a wonderful cause to donate to in Bawb's memory.

thank you for the link
as the quiz host of last months UK borad daily quiz I asked the winner would
they mind if I donated money to a charity in memoier of Bob instead of
sending out prizes and they all said yes and were delighted too
so I have done it now to the Hospice of the Comforter
