Need help choosing hotel!

If you had to choose between a 4 or 5 star off site hotel (not far from resort) or a value hotel in Disney World Resort, which would you choose? They are both the same price.

What 4 or 5 star hotel is 82-100 $$ !?! I'd love to know!

I would probably stay offsite esp. for that great of a deal!

I enjoy being onsite for many reasons.... I just feel completly immersed in the Disney feeling and no hotel off site can make me feel that way.

Are you looking to rent a car or does the hotel that you are looking at provide transportation?...I love Disney Transportation and the ME from the airport is a great start to any vacation.. Also if you are going during a busy season having the extra magic hours is a wonderful thing to have incase you want to run back and enjoy some things you couldnt. Taking breaks during the day and coming back to the parks is another benefit.
Just some things to consider besides the stars on a hotel (imho)!

Stay on site! then you never have to really leave Disney during your trip. Plus that's the only way you can use the extra magic hours.

We didn't think we were going to even use those, we ended up using they so much. It gave us some break time for the girls to rest too~

To me it would depend upon the hotel off site (I haven't heard a name yet?) and how important the EMH,DME, transportation etc. are to your travel party.

If those things aren't important to you, I'd probably choose the 4 star off site, If they are, I wouldn't.

I always want to stay onsite, no matter which resort it is!

I would choose All Star Music resort.

We (DH & I) travel several times a year for pleasure and often stay at 3& 4 and sometimes 5 star hotels.

Bt when we are staying at WDW we really enjoy staying at All Star Music.

I feel All Star Music is usually the quiestest and the best landscaped value resort.

We enjoy being able to book a preferred location for an extra $10 and night and know we are going to be close to the main pool, food court and bus stop.

We love watching the little ones play in the Calypso pool with the spraying water from the Donald and friends statues which are located at the center of pool.

With young children, I would stay on property.. makes life so much easier.

I would stay on property, especially with small children. Save the 4 and 5* hotels for later when the kids can appreciate it more and you need the space! While the kids are little, they'll love the value hotels!!

I would always pick on-site no matter what.
