Mickey's Hand is in my Pocket II! & DH's P.O.V: pg 19-7/20 On Our Way Home....

She cleaned her desk today . . . she must be hiding a binder, somewhere!!!

.

Nahh - I just put everything into piles...although the binder may just magically appear one day right before the trip :lmao:

So the time comes for us to book all our ADR's - meaning I had to be up at 6am on Sunday :scared1: Yep - so much for sleeping in on the weekend. But it paid off - pixiedust: pixie dust pixiedust: was with us and we got everything we wanted within a couple of minutes or right on of when we requested. Although I'm sure DH will try and change it all anyway right before the trip like always :headache:

So we now have:
Boma for Breakfast and Dinner
LeCellier
Brown Derby
Grand Floridian Cafe
Trails End Breakfast
O'Hana
Le Chefs De France for SOUP!!!!
California Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern
And the last minute addition of Akershus House by DH, which means Raglan Road is out unless he'd like to add more days :rolleyes1

So all is well and I email the DIL's of what we have...uh oh, we now have changes. So luckily I call today and I can still move everything around and get the times I wanted. Things moved days which means we'll have a new agenda again. Oh and the Grand Floridian Cafe is out and Citricos is now in.

And I'd like to point out that NONE of the restaurants were my pick...looks like they are going to be all MINE on our 2009 trip :rotfl2:

Although in all fairness and for a fear DH will argue with me on this.."Our" picks were Boma and Chef's for soup...otherwise I chose nothing, nada, zippo. Hmmmm maybe staying an extra day or two would pay off so I can have a Tyry pick  And I do like everywhere we will be dining, except maybe Norway as that one has me worried.

And as for our intinerary, Thursday will now be a play day and Friday we'll head to the Animal Kingdom. Hopefully, this will be the last of flipping the days around.

:wizard:

I've eaten in Norway for dinner...it's notsobad....the only thing I didn't like I never like anyway (salmon.) Everything else was different but good. Esp the meatballs in gravy~ :thumbsup2

I have not tried Raglan road...is there even a play day that you'll wind up downtown to where you may try Raglan Road on the fly? If you do a review would be most appreciated~

Wolfgang Puck's Sushi is my hubby and BIL's new favorite for food on the fly while downtown~

Well it's not ADR changes this time - now it's hotel changes. I'm still trying to stretch this vacation the best I can and hoping DH can get the Friday before we should be leaving off. I had us booked into All Star Music for Friday and Sat night. Figuring we'd arrive sometime on Friday if we took off right after he gets off work on Thursday night.

Of course if you ask him you'd get "of course we could be there on Friday - it's only a two hour plane flight" :scared1: :scared:

Anyway, just for the heck of it and never thinking there would be anything available since it is the first weekend of the F&W Fest, I called DVC to see if a BW or BC studio would be available. We really could use the points for our big 2009 trip, but I figured what the heck...we could always borrow from 2010:rolleyes1

I really didn't think it would come to that like I said but lo and behold they had a standard view studio available. GREAT! I will take it. It will eat my points but isn't that what they are for...and no cash out of pocket for All Stars means more to buy things with :lmao:

I kind of slyly ran it past DH by asking if he would stay at the BWV even without a BW view...he thought about it and I thought he would say no, but then stunned me by saying yes. Whoo hooo...our first time as DVC members and we'll get to experience not only our home resort, but BW as well. For some reason I see me getting very little sleep for the first two nights being that close to so many things and the fact the MK is open till Midnight on Saturday!

Is right. I said to DH over the weekend I'm getting a binder...I think a red one...know what he said "no binders" - big shock there! But somehow when he said it his face kinda turned into Faye Dunaway in Mommy Dearest and all I could hear was the line changed slightly to "NO WIRE BINDERS EVER!" :rotfl: :lmao:

Wow - it's been quiet planning wise. Although the evil dreams have started....you know, the ones where your forget your park tickets, or realize your trip is over and you haven't even neem to the Magic Kingdom...hate those!! :rotfl2:

We are also still trying to decide either to drive (which means leaving after work and driving straight through) or flying during hurricane season. Even with gas prices the way they are, driving may still be cheaper. Any advice?

BUT - shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...lookie what I finally got

It's just a small one, but hey...I needed somewhere to keep all the papers for reservations and things. :rotfl: At least that's what I told DH!

Well - the great fly vs drive debate has been settled..in a moment of weakness (and since it was only $99 each way) I just booked a flight to Orlando! :scared1:   :scared1:   I am the BIGGEST scaredy cat in the world when it comes to flying and will do anything and everything to get out of it. Now I have about four months to talk myself into it -- ugh!

We are also flying out of a new airport for me (Midway) and a new carrier for me - Southwest, AND not taking the first flight back...we are taking a mid-morning flight. So lots of "firsts" this trip!

Can I also just say I'm not thrilled about the "cattle call" and the unassigned seats. We'll see how it goes. BUT - if all goes well we'll arrive early am on Friday (I'll have to try stagemomx3's trick and have a drink once we land and see if that reenergizes me) and then we leave on Monday morning the following week, which gives me 10 whole days in my favorite place :goodvibes which is a good thing. So everyone send that pixie dust my way that I actually get on the plane and not scare the flight attendants like I did on my last plane trip to Disney in 2004.

That's an awesome price!!!

Take advantage of the 24 hour online check in!

Go online at 10am the day before your flight and check everyone in, at least that way you have a chance to be at the front of the cattle shoot and a better shot of actually sitting together.

DD and me flew thru Midway coming home from California last year...it's a pretty nice airport (by airport standards.)

Take the advice of Peter Pan: Think happy thoughts when you fly!

I'll be taking SWA for the first time as a normal boarder in August-I'll let you know how it goes.

UGH - I wish I could think happy thoughts - I think my heart is already beating faster knowing I have to have a plane ride. And I'll probably set every alarm clock in the house to make sure I'm online at the 24 hour check-in!

And ask your doctor for a couple of Valium! :thumbsup2

Hmmm - been there, done that...need STRONGER - I think I feel an explanation coming on about that ;)

Thanks - would love to know...not having an assigned seat almost drove me not to book on SW.
