A Challenge

A couple of people have made the point on a different thread that all of these great new items, quests and credits are serving the purpose of keeping us busy and, therefore, quieting us down.

That tells me one thing:

OUR CAMPAIGN IS A THREAT.

Which in turn tells me another thing:

IT HAS A CHANCE OF ACTUALLY WORKING.

So here's what I propose. I see the Save VMK momentum dying down, and I'm really hoping to see that change. Would everyone please take the time to write at least one letter tonight and both e-mail and snail mail it to at least 3 people at Disney Corporate?

One letter. 3 people. Tonight. Please??

We're doing exactly what Disney wants us to do. We're losing heart, we're losing interest, and we're shutting up. Do not let that happen!

Here's an addition to your challenge, if I may. Let's all remain playing vmk and building those amazing rooms. Go above and beyond letters. Show them that we still WANT to play in the Kingdom! Have you seen the numbers lately? Let's get those numbers back up to 6000 online! VMK is becoming a ghost town. There are almost as few players on now as there were when VMK first opened. Corporate types LOVE numbers, no matter how skewed they are.

I agree we need to make our presence known in the mail/media and in the game. Maybe some of these items/quests are being released to generate excitement. In part as a way to motivate us to keep playing in case someone does look at the player statistics. Maybe? Maybe?

Here's an idea that should make everyone happy... Write a letter, send it to the Disney people, and continue to play.

AND - If you are at Disneyland in the next 30 days, stop at City Hall and hand-write a little note on their Guest Services form expressing your disappointment and desire to see the Kingdom stay open.

I don't believe the fact we are seeing all of this new stuff coming out has the purpose of keeping us busy--I see it as just another indicator that vmk is coming to its end next month. VMK has no reason to keep all of this stuff un-released and is thanking the players by sharing it all now at the last minute before it closes. if there were ANY plans on keeping the game alive I doubt we would be seeing all of this new stuff getting shuffled out for ppl to enjoy.

on a different note, maybe MORE cowbell would definitely help! it can't hurt at this point lol (maybe it would earn us those coveted gold plated diapers after all!)

At this point, doing anything within VMK is going to accomplish nothing. We need to keep going to those people in the company above the ones that made the decision in DIG.
