So great that you took your DH on a picnic to take his mind off of things. I love your picnic basket. When my friends and I have a picnic in Central Park, we pick up sandwiches at On Madison (chicken picnic on a bun is the best ) pastries, and water. Then we take our not so fancy plastic bags and sit on a bench. I like your way so much better.

I'll be interested to hear how people react when you whip FJ out at WDW. I got some interesting comments/laughs and general staring...but all of it good natured...

You were keeping an eye on us in case any "bad guys" came around and looked threatening.
I'm thinking we are going to get some stares and laughs when we whip him out. I got some weird looks just carrying him around the playground when DS was playing.

at the park u might want to take the new camera and get a locker in case the other decides to go again. just a thought.

Picnics are so much fun but is "usually" something we don't think of. This was a nice break from all the stuff going on right now.

Thanks for the idea on the locker!! This is a great idea. Ok, so I've never needed one so I'm sort of embarrassed to ask.....where the heck are they??

Nah, I was glad and excited. I knew that FJ=fun and that's what we need right now.

I've had that picnic basket for years and never got to use it. Someone gave it to me as a gift. If you look at the pictures, the plates and utensils are still in the original plastic wrap. I love it, though. It's so cute and I'm glad I finally got to use it.

First off, thank you to everyone for your well wishes with DH and his Grandma. We are relieved that we are at the end of everything that has been going on all week. Now we can just focus on remembering her and healing. DH has gone back to work today and DS and I are getting the ball rolling planning for the trip again.

Today I have written out lists, lists and more lists. I even have "to do" lists for my "to do" lists! Yes, it's that time of trip planning where everything seems chaotic at first but starts to slowly come together. I am looking forward to Friday which is the day we will hit the travel sized aisle's and shop for the last bit of "stuff" we need for this trip.

So far we've bought 2 hanging organizers for the bathroom/closet section. For those who haven't stayed at POR or any of the moderates or values, here is a picture of what we are dealing with....click the link.

As you can see we have a small amount of space to share. There is also no counter space in the sink section, only a small strip above the sinks.....

We are going to hang these organizers on hangers in the "closet" section, and use the little baskets that I bought last trip to put on the tiny "counter strip" above the sinks. Hopefully this will help us keep everything in order not only for us, but also for mousekeeping. I'd rather not give SOME of them an excuse to go through our stuff. Plus, we will not be tripping over all of our bathroom items every time we walk in there. (disclaimer: We have NEVER had a problem with mousekeeping in the past. They have always gone above and beyond at OKW. I'm nervous because I've been reading some not so good things about mousekeeping at the PO resorts. I hope we do not encounter any of this.)

Today I also packed up most of the 1st Aid Kit. It is now full of pain meds, sinus meds (although I hope and pray we don't need those!), bandaids, moleskin, etc.

Can't wait to get started on all my lists! DS and I may take out the luggage today and get started on some of the packing. A little over 2 weeks left!! I can hardly believe it.
