June 13th - July 4th... Got Kids?

Hello..

I had posted in 2 threads here, but didn't see many responses so I thought I'd start my own thread.

I take my daughter to the world every year about the same time. We have fun of course, but my daughter would love another kid about her age to ride with once in a while. We have been lucky enough to encounter a family in the same situation twice. My daughter had a wonderful time with their children (and I had a real live adult to talk to!). So, I'm hoping to arrange a meet or two (or three!) with some dis'ers who might be in the same situation I am.

Are there any Dis'ers going at the same time frame who might want to meet for a while at the parks? One child or more, doesn't matter. Married parents, single parent, a couple.. a couple of single parents, doesn't matter!

We will be at POP from 6/24-6/28.I run in to the same issue. My dd is 17 and rides many different rides than me and ds. Dd tells me it isn't as much fun to ride alone. We also sometimes have to take turns riding a favorite ride because ds either can't or won't ride. It is nice when you can find some one to pal up with.

Those dates we will be at Windsor Hills. We'd be happy to meet for a while at a park.. my dd rides everything. She's only 11, so I'm not sure if your dd will be ok with riding with an 11 year old. If we meet you might want to forewarn her I will ride any ride with my dd... but I am not crazy about some of them. It would be SO nice to sit some out..lol.

Here's what our schedule is like:

We (DH, DD and I) are staying at Beach Club 6/1-6/5, then DH goes home and DD and I go to my parents (in Orlando) until around 6/18. We can meet anywhere for swimming or something. I know she'll be excited to meet some kids!

Just wanted to let you know that we had to rechedule or trip...
We are now scheduled June 25th to July 5th.... I am looking forward to seeing the 4th fireworks... I have read they are great...

Meeting for the 4th of July Fireworks sounds like a lot of fun! I wouldn't be able to make that because we are leaving on the 4th. Our flight out of MCO is at 8:30 so we'd be gone by 5ish.
But I hope a lot of you get together to see the fireworks! I'll be in the air by then and I'll remember to wave to everyone

I'm still hoping to meet one or more families while we're there. Our now official dates are June 13-July 4th. June 13th will be a pricelined/hotwired hotel for the night, we check into a Windsor Hills townhouse on the 14th. We check out of there on the 28th, then move on property until the 4th.

I'll be renting a car so we are very flexible when/where to meet.

When it's closer to departure date I will pm/email anyone who is interested in meeting. I know dd will be thrilled to meet some Disers too!

I can't wait to meet some dis'ers. I hope we can find time to meet, either for the fireworks, or just to do a park for a little while!
