Sorry folks, but we need to get the WDW Trip Board back to On Topic reporting.

Here is a new link on our thread: Please feel welcome to continue off topic conversations there.

OMG!! Please don't try to have any friendly banter with the people you are connecting with! Keep it to good journalism, please! :offtopic: :offtopic: :offtopic:

Okay, now that I can settle down and read, nice update! I think the guy in the kilt at ANIMAL KINGDOM likes to call attention to himself. ;)

Thanks for sticking up for me.....:thumbsup2

Maybe all the Louisiana folks can answer this....do you think him wearing the kilt had anything to do with it being Fat Tuesday? I'm reaching, I know, but I'm just trying to figure out why he would've been wearing a kilt....althouh it was hot.....:rolleyes1

Aren't they mostly French down in New Orleans; hence, the French Quarter? We met some Scottish fellows back in 2003 wearing kilts. It was just their way. However, they were better looking in them.

Here are some pix on the way over to AK.

Nice triple chin Jordan:

Everyone looks well rested and ready for another day! Dylan, especially, looks a lot happier than the last time we saw him. :lmao:

Everyone came off KS and I was able to get Kim to take one more picture w/ my peeps...They were everywhere that morning:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love how you are doing the peeps hand gesture!!!
I bet the funniest part was what happened behind-the-scenes of this photo -- you and Kim trying to unobtrusively sidle over to your peeps and take a picture without drawing attention to yourself. That's a video I want to see!

Everest, Dinoland and yes, someone gets busted.

Busted??? At AK??? What does a person get busted for at AK? Did somebody sneak straws in??? :)

Is it bad that I'll hear my kids calling me and I just stay quiet hoping they'll forget they called me?
Nah, I've gotten to the point where mine actually have to find me because they know I won't answer when they call. :)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: The only reason I could imagine a man wearing a kilt on Bourbon Street would be for "easy access". :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :sad2:

You said it was hot. Maybe he was just trying to air out his "fat tuesday".:confused3

They did. I wish either Kim or Wendy would tell their version........:)

Ok, so here is what I remember:

A nice walk through World Showcase from the hotel. The evening was a little cool, good thing we all brought our jackets. Good conversation between good friends. We had a little wait for our table so we posed for some pics (of course).

Once inside I remember it being a little noisy and crowded. Everyone except Derek (I think) opted for what I like to call "dessert before dinner" non-alcoholic beverages. But hey, we're on vacay, right?!? I'll have to make that 8 laps around the lake in the morning instead of 4, sigh.

Anyway, the waitress took our orders and didn't even scold me for ordering my filet mignon well done! :thumbsup2

The pretzel bread was to die for....

My meal was great, the meat was cooked perfectly and still tender and the mashed potatoes were real! :thumbsup2 again!

We had to order dessert since it was included. I had the pumpkin/apple crisp with maple ice cream. Oh my gosh was it good. Took the rest home to Jordy, but I think it sat in the fridge for the rest of the trip. Starting to feel a bit ill from all the food...

The men had some issues with the waitress while waiting for our check. I don't remember exactly what but I think they were upset and thought we got poor service. Wendy and I thought it was fine...:confused3

Then we headed back to relieve Jordan.

Well-done steaks are the only way to go! Most people look at me like I have two heads when I order my steak well-done. The more charred the better in my eyes!

Everytime I read your comments, I have to make a mental note about a food item -- first the chocolate crepes, now the pumpkin/apple crisp (we have ADRs at Le Cellier for June :thumbsup2 ). Obviously, we have the same taste in dessert items. :) Maybe, I should buy some elastic-band shorts for the trip so I can eat everything I want! :)

It's funny you mention this because Josh made a comment after dinner that he forgot to wear his "fat pants" that night! That became a running joke for the rest of the trip. LOL!

Tsk Tsk too much off topic stuff......we are bad "peeps" oh well. LOL. Nice update! <--look on topic!!!

I go to a Scottish festival every year, had a bagpipper at my wedding along with some family that wore kilts (to the wedding) so I'm pretty much an expert so I'll try to take a crack at this.

I assume that he is an American because he's chatting on his cell phone. At first I thought it might be an utility kilt...must less formal and made from cotton not wool...popular with the younger set, Think cargo pants except in skirt form. Nope, no utilitly kilt here...he's actually wearing his sporn (the purse like thing in the front).

After careful study I don't think he's a loon...

I think he was trying to draw attention away from his freakishly small feet.

Whew!!! I am finally caught up. It looks like you had fun. You are such a good babysitter. Did Dylan eat his food? I can't wait to read more.:thumbsup2

It is always cooler in a skirt.....at ANIMAL KINGDOM. on your trip.

He did say elastic pants on his trip, so I think it's okay. :goodvibes

I'm in, when do we leave?
:thumbsup2

I was going to say the same thing. PICK ME, PICK ME! lol. Ok, I won't fight, maybe you can take us both and then you'd really have it covered.

By the way, I forgot to comment on the fact that Wendy is expecting her third little cutie. CONGRATS WENDY! 3 is the way to go. Also to Wendy: you picked a great name for your son....good taste, lol.(My oldest shares the same name)
