Hyatt MCO

I was looking on Hotwire to try to identify the Hyatt MCO, and I noticed a 4 star MCO hotel pop up. I've never seen that before, only 3.5 stars. Anybody know what that is? Betterbidding doesn't list a 4 star for MCO either.

Not sure about the 4 star thing...Hotwire does change ratings fairly often....usually moving properties up for no apparent reason. However the best way to identify the Hyatt on Hotwire in the MCO zone is the fact that it is the only 3+ star place in that zone that does not have a shuttle icon.

Are you sure? According to BetterBidding, Hyatt also shows the shuttle icon. Tennis used to be the give-away, but that no longer shows up. I remember a thread awhile back that talked about something with the reviews providing a clue. I'll have to search for that thread.

I've been doing a little research, and it looks to me like some of the hotels that used to be 3.5 are now showing as 4. Also, I'm thinking, but not sure, that the Hyatt might be the 4 star that says customer favorite, and then down at the bottom it has 4.5 out of 5 stars. There's another 4 star that comes up, but it doesn't say customer favorite, and it only has I think 3 out of 5 stars. The star ratings clue was brought up in a post earlier this year.

If anybody has gotten Hyatt recently on Hotwire, please post details.

Not always true. It now shows the shuttle icon. I think Hyatt and/or Hotwire caught on and changed the icons.

I got it in Sept. It was exactly as posted on betterbidding's list:

3.5*
Shuttle
Restaurant
Pool,
Fitness
Hi-Speed Internet
Business

Maybe someone else has gotten it more recently?

The Renassance hotel has been upgraded to 4 * -- same ammenities as the Hyatt.

We leave in 12 days...need one night -- would prefer the Hyatt. Currently have a rate of $140

any info would be appreciated.;)

Woops...sorry about the misinfo about the shuttle icon...my sister got it on Hotwire mid January and sent me her info....it was not a 4* at that time but it DID have the shuttle icon (I had gotten it last August for one night and it did NOT have the shuttle icon then)

FYI....if I had a choice between the Hyatt MCO and the Renaissance I would take the Renaissance in a heartbeat. It is REALLY nice since they finished the rennovations last summer, rooms are much bigger and definitely deserve the 4* rating (the Hyatt is nice but beginning to show its age and the rooms are rather compact to say the least). They have very nice shuttle service and very prompt even at late hours too

Just did hotwire for a hotel near MCO for 3/12 (late arriving flight). Best deal was a 4 star WITH shuttle icon AND customer favorite tab at a whole $89/night!! Took it and low and behold, it WAS the HYATT!!:cool1: Total with tax and fees is a whopping $105.75.....

Did you notice anything down at the bottom about the reviews? Was it 4.5 out of 5? Did it say date of last review or how many reviews there were? Thanks for any more details. Glad you got it!

Would you mind listing the exact amenities? If you go under "My Account" it will still list them all. It's been 3.5* for as long as I can remember!
Thanks, this will be good to know for the future!!:goodvibes :flower3:

I didn't make an account on Hotwire, but I checked again using the same criteria as I did last night and the same 4 star, Customer Favorite, and Best Value option is still available, except at $93 now. The amenities are Airport shuttle, pool, fitness center, restaurant, business center, and hi-speed internet. When you click on the ratings guide, Hyatt is listed under the Distinctive 4 star hotels list.
