Sky writing over disney

I have been meaning to ask this. We were at Disney 1/27 to 1/31. Each day different christian messages were written in the sky. Does anyone know why or who done this?

Its done at a distance, not directly over WDW property.

A local church does it as a form of "outreach."

Thanks Robo - It seemed so odd to us while we were there. "a form of outreach" lol they should just use the money to buy food for the hungry or something useful

Its probably less than productive to discuss individual religious convictions or beliefs.

Nobody can "win" in that debate.

We were at WDW from Dec. 1 through the 9th and saw the writing in the sky also. Everyday was a different message.

There is a guy that does in Naples, FL too....mostly just on the weekend

When we here there, he did a smiley face, that we happened to see when we were on the Kilimanjaro safari at AK. I made a comment to my wife that the whole safari was actually inside a building and that it was just painted on the ceiling. I must have not whispered enough, because passangers near us got a chuckle out of it.

We saw it last weekend. But unless we are totally brainless, I don't think I've ever seen thing during a high peak weekend (which is when we mostly go). If he does do it, it certainly doesn't get the attention in which he intends.

Persnally - the messages (whether I believe them or not) are too long. If the guy reads these boards, I'd suggeste he write something that doesn't have the beginning evaporate before the end is done. Short and sweet is better.

You know, every time someone brings the skywriter up, I have to think...Why is it that this bothers some people? Have we gotten to the point in this country where we can hear anything on television, the movies, or in public yet cry that we're "offended" when someone mentions the word God or Jesus? Does not offend me in the least. More power to him!

We saw them last year over Spring Break - I thought it was a pleasant little "treat" to look up and see that someone took the time to send that little message!

DH used to work Mon thru Sat so we would go to Disney every Sunday.. and every Sunday morning, we saw the messages LOL.. I think its someone trying to tell us that we should be in church and not at Disney? lol

LOL...Hey - I fully believe that God gave Walt the vision...therefore it is perfectly ok to be in Disney on Sunday! LOL

Quite frankly, I think what he is doing is foolish and absurd. When I am on vacation at The World, I don't want religious doctrine or even remote traces of it shoved down my throat. And, no one can deny the fact that he is forcing it on people as he is doing it in a purposefully public manner. He wants people to read it. I personally find it annoying and wish something could be done to stop him. I'm sure it would never be allowed if it was an anti-Bush or of a non-Christian religion. Talk about double standard.
