Magical Vacations?

Hi everyone! I usually book my own trips, but I was thinking of using Magical Vacations this time around. Just wondering if anyone has ever used this travel agency and if so, what did you think?

Thanks so much!

Hi, we didn't use Magical Vacations, but went through Dinorah at Pixie dust Travel. She was awesome! It was our first time at Disneyworld and she took care of everything. It was nice not to have to make the calls for dining, reservations and hotel requests. She was always quick getting back to us and even let us know when she was going away for a few days. We would definately use her again!

I've used MV and they do a great job. I would highly, highly recommend them.

I am using them now for the first time for our trip in April. All has gone well so far!

I have used them before and am using them now for a few trips and I have no regrets.

I used Magical Vacations in 2006 and was very pleased with Lisa. I would have used her for our 2007 DCL cruise but she couldn't come close to Costco's discounted price (another TA well known on this board didn't bother to even get back to me but I assume they couldn't beat the deal either). This was back when those discounts were allowed (which now they are not) but she was very honest about that, said it was a great deal and told me to take it. Costco's deal was good but the service not so much.

If I wasn't renting points for our upcoming trip I woud have used MV again.

Reputable and straightforward. Go forth with confidence even at the discounted rate. Many people here have booked with them - specifically last year in July/August at the Poly...

Ok, my question is this...HOW can they offer such discounted rates? I am thinking of using them too, but my skeptical side is getting the best of me.

She makes a group and gets a "group discount." I used it last year for 10 night stay. Many of us here on the board used it for a certain "Festivus Tiki" (not its real name as it was not allowed to be posted about here last year anyway). Go to tikiman's website and you can find his recommendation also.

Hopefully others who went on that trip will also pipe up.

I've used 3 different travel agents over the years, for my WDW trips.

The first travel agent was local (I found her ad in the yellow pages) and she was terrible; she booked our trip, nothing was wrong or messed up, but she never went beyond providing a very basic service. And when I read about breakfast in the castle here on the DIS before our May 2001 trip, I called to ask her about it and she basically told me that it wasn't worth it and that I shouldn't do it. (I ended up booking CRT myself. ). Then my DH and younger DS had health problems shortly before our trip she wouldn't call on our behalf to make a room location request. She told me "They don't even pay attention to requests, and it won't matter which building you're in anyway...". We were staying at CBR on that trip and it very much DID matter which building! Again, from what I learned here on the DIS before that first trip, I found that I could call Medical Services (not sure if that's the name or not, I forget now. lol) and I made the request myself!

The second travel agent that I used was Dreams Unlimited. I had an excellent experience with them, and with my agent. The agent handled all of my requests and I was completely satisfied with them.

The third travel agency that I've used for a Disney World trip is Magical Vacations. I used them last year and I'm currently using them for this year's trip, too. They provide excellent service, as well.

Based on my own experiences I can, without hesitation, strongly recommend both Dreams Unlimited AND Magical Vacations. :thumbsup2

I have used Magical Vacations several times and was extremly pleased each time. Magical Vacations is planning both of my Disney trips this year. The agency works hard to obtain any discounts available and has saved me several hundred dollars. They will also make ADRs, rserve tickets for special events/activities, and arrange airport transfers. I highly recommend their services!

Just a reminder that attempting to bypass the word filter can result in poster receiving points. The webmasters and owner of the DIS has decided that certain businesses, people, etc. belong in the word filter. Attempting to bypass it may get you points not matter how clever you think you are.

This is for informational purposes and I am not pointing the finger at any one person.

Ok, my question is this...HOW can they offer such discounted rates? I am thinking of using them too, but my skeptical side is getting the best of me.

I booked one of Magical Vacation's deeply discounted rooms at the GF last summer and all was well. As another poster explained, the agency reserves a block of rooms and is able to obtain a discounted group rate.

I was hesitant at first to book with MV also, but I am using them for my October trip to the Poly. This thread has put my worried mind to ease! Thanks for the info all. :)
