Okay driving there, but what about driving back to the resort? Will traffic be horrible a little while later? We are planning on going to MK that day and I don't mind to take the car, but we will need to take the car back to WL before we go to MK. Will traffic be horrible being that it would be close to opening time at MK. Or is it kinda side roads that we will be using and not the main roads that lead straight to MK?

I don't think it should be bad at all. I drove around WDW a lot while staying at the WL, at all times of day, and never had any problems with traffic.

When we went in October we drove most of the time. We had our 17moDD with us and it was easier for the quick park exits.

We never ran into traffic. It was very fast and easy once we figured out where we were going. :)

Page 1 has an old menu for Territory Lounge. Here is a more current version, and it is what we saw when we were there 12/07. The flatbreads are worth visiting here for!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me know about the menu was not being updated on the Allears site, they don't even have the Territory Lounge listed on the Menu page anymore :confused3 I updated to the DIS-menu for the Lounge. I love the Honey-Ginger Chicken Wings they are sticky and sweet but oh so tasty.

We will have our car, but I prefer to use WDW transportation if possible. Less chance of getting lost. I know, just from the WL to the Poly? Trust me. It can be done! Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated.

You have received some great advise, Melissa's statement must be remembered at all times bus schedules, boat schedules can and do change.

I understand that taking Disney transportation would be the easiest, remember Disney buses start running early for breakfast ADRs. You can always be at the bus stop early 7:00am and ask the bus driver for assistance.

Driving would also be very easy Timberline Drive changes to Seven Seas Drive at the traffic light so it's really the same road. You would exit the Lodge and drive straight at the light go .6 of a mile and you are at the Polynesian, you would return the same way.

OKAY. I have been searching these sites and can not find my answer.. so here I go. My DH wants beer in his room. Where can we go to get him a 12 pack for the week.... we will be taking the magic express from the airport.
Sheri
The Mercantile does sell beer by the six pack or possibly 12 pack, I'm not 100% sure about the 12 pack though. While the price would be higher than a convenience store, the prices are reasonable when compared to a per bottle price from the lounges or bars.

There are companies that you could order beer from and have it delivered to your room but I'm not sure it would be cost effective.

Another option would be to visit the Boardwalk Inns/Villas which is walking distance or boat ride from EPCOT through the International Gateway. Once at the Boardwalk exit through the front arrival area and walk to the end of the drive to the Hess Gas Station where you may purchase beer, sodas at a better price.

Good Luck

Odd question :) but does Wilderness Lodge still have unique refillable mugs or the year of magical dreams ones? Thanks!!

I was reading through this thread it is so helpful about WL!
(sorry if I missed this information) Does WL have connecting rooms?

Yes, there are connecting rooms at the Wilderness Lodge they are request not gauranteed, depends on make-up of guest staying in the rooms. When we have been traveling with younger children we have always received connecting rooms. When traveling with other adults we received adjoining rooms.

Magicinmyheart - I don't know if this was just for our week, but there were a few differences in the bus sharing when we were there 2/2-2/9.

Just like you have posted, WL shared with GF to go to the AK. However, we also shared with GF when going to DTD. We went to DTD 3-4 times during our trip, and this was the case every time. The bus stops at DTD also had these stops together - WL & GF.

We only shared with FW when we went to DHS. We did not share with any other resort when going to Epcot, and the bus was only half full. We were there for rope drop, so I was expecting the bus driver to stop.

Maybe someone else has some insight into this as well. Hope this helps.

Brave teacher

I always add this to my post changes happen all the time. February is a Off Peak time and I'm sure Disney trys to balance the expense of operating their buses whenever possible.

From page 1 *NOTE: With Disney’s On Demand Service Bus Service the routes may change at anytime, during Peak and Off Peak Seasons the routes may also be changed. The above routes I have posted are the routes that have been used on 99% of my visits to the Wilderness Lodge and The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge. I have also encountered new bus drivers that have taken creative liberties with the routes and correct order of each location.

The information I post is to give someone not familiar with the bus systems an idea of how they normally run, while also telling everyone that they can and do change.

Thanks for posting your experiences it shows that they do change routes all during the year. It's great to receive as much information as we can to help guest staying at the Lodge during the year.

Hi Everyone!!! :yay: It's been quite a while since I posted..very busy with school..but I am almost done!! While we won't make it to the WL this year, because of some other home improvement issues we would like to take care of, we are planning at 2 week vacation the last two weeks of August in 2009, of course the concierge level :dance3: I'm just reading now to get my fix..cuz it looks like this will be the only way I can "be" at the WL..without "being" at the WL..vicariously through you all :upsidedow

It's good to see you post it has been awhile. Two weeks OMG you'll be able to get a list of everything they offer at Club Level along with some great photo's. Don't forget to ask about Flag Family you shouldn't have any trouble being first on the list if you are staying that long. Don't stay away too long.

We stayed at the WL from 2/2-2/9 - yes, we were part of the Mardi Gras crowd. My 5 year old DS now says we are not allowed to stay anywhere wlse in WDW.

We checked in around 4:30 PM, bell services immediately unloaded our luggage. I checked us in while DH parked the truck. We were assigned room 4015. The boys loved the view since they could see the pool from the balcony.

Our stay was fantastic. We loved the boat, and Samuel (DS5) LOVED the geyser.

Just a few pics from the resort.

BTW, we're heading back to the WL next February.

Oooh what beautiful pictures!! May I ask what type of room you had i.e. standard, courtyard, woods, etc??

From the view - I guess inner courtyard. But all the rooms look alike inside, except for bunkbeds/king bed differences (and deluxe rooms are different-sure would like to see one of those)
