What was your most scariest moment in your trip? Was it during a tropical storm or were you really scared on Splash mountain?:scared1:

Hi,
I am going to move you over to the Theme Park Strategy Board.

I was on Tower of Terror, and the ride stopped right after the first scene. It was pitch black and I had no idea what was going on. I was only for a few seconds, but it seemed like a lifetime.

That isn't keeping me off the ride forever though!! :teeth:

I was 6 (now in mid 30's) got on space mountain for the first time and the adults in back of me started to scream we are going to die when the ride started. I seriously believed that the ride was out of control becasue why would grown adults joke about dying.

Mine was just last month. We were there on MLK weekend, supposed to come home on Saturday and our flights got cancelled and I was told that the earliest we could get a flight home was Tuesday and the only rooms available at WDW were Beach Club-Club Level at $560/night and we needed 2 rooms for those 3 extra nights. Do the math - $560 x 2 rooms x 3 nights.

Now how scary is that?

One more move -- to the Theme Parks Community Board since this is a 'best fit' there.. Sorry for the moves!

My chillest moment?? They always happen at Pleasure Island... usually at 8Trax. Fun times.

When we were at Carribean Beach Resort for Hurricane Charlie...that was really scary!

Also when my sister and I were on ToT and we had dropped and the elevator was getting pulled back so we could exit the ride. Well, it was like it got stuck and it was pitch black. The whole spiel about "The next time you check into a deserted hotel..." ended and we were just sitting there. We could hear the next elevator falling and we were just there. I was so afraid that the elevator that was dropping would crash into us...thankfully, we moved just in time. It was really scary though!

The worst scariest moment was when my mom choked while we were eating at Cosmic Ray's Cafe. My dad had to do the heimlic manuever (spelling?) on her and my sister and I went yelling through the restaurant that my mom was choking and we needed somebody to help her. Several men went running back to our table, but we completely silenced our side of Cosmic Rays. It was so scary...thankfully my mom was ok...just embarrassed!

Last May, I went on Space Mountain with my cousins and parents. For some reason, I bothered to point out the number on the rocket that we were being loaded into. We get off the ride, and we're outside. I want to take a picture.

My camera fell out of the bag. My dad goes back through the line, and goes to argue with the castmembers about getting it back. I needed to call him about something ... wait. Where's my cell phone?

He had to go back up the mountain AGAIN.

Luckily, I was able to get both the camera and cell phone back, because my cousin remembered me pointing out what number rocket we were on. :)

I agree, that was a bad storm! Try living in Orlando during Hurricane Charlie -and three more hurricanes that year! I'm from up north, and though I've lived in Florida 10 years now, that was the first hurricane I ever had to live through. I was living in South Orlando at the time, and they estimated the storm blew through at 105-110 mph. In half an hour, it did incredible damage. A huge tree even came within about 2 inches of demolishing my neighbor's house, and another neighbor across the street ended up with someone's chimney on his roof! I swear I spent the entire time the storm was blowing through on my kitchen floor with a mattress over my head, listening to shingles get ripped off my roof and hit my house.

Although I'm sure it was very scary for many out of town guests as well, Disney was probably a place I would have felt very safe -their hotels are solid and well built, and I know they didn't experience any structural damage from the storms.
