Ever taken a school/church/team/band etc to participate in the parade?

I am looking for how to have our pageant queens, princesses and princes participate in a parade or event at DL.

Anyone ever do something like this (with any type of group) and if so who did you contact about it at DL.

Thank you for your help.

Oh! I'm a pageant girl! What system do you work with?

When I was in school we did Disneyland's Magic Music Days, it was great, it looks like they still have the program 16 years later. You can find out how to apply here: http://www.disneylandmagicmusicdays...LRMMDGoogle&HBX_PK=magic+music+days&HBX_OU=50

Thank you

My DD just got involved in the Solano County Pageants this year, her first pageant will be in May.

When I was in Jr High our Marching Band of 110 were bussed down from Northern Calif to be in a parade. It was fun to be "working there as a guest #1 Jr High Band". It was a very long time ago... it was neat to see behind the scenes a little bit... unfortunately I lost the kids I was hanging out with after we changed out of our uniforms and I ran back to bus to get my camera. They were supposed to go into the haunted mansion & I waited by the exit for over an hour, saw the last person in line come out, then gave up & spent at least 5 hours roaming around Disney by myself til I finally found someone else from the band. :sad1: Probably not my most favorite experience there. I think I am still traumatized... lol

That's great! Good luck to her! I wish I started pageants when I was younger, so much experience is needed, and I didn't start until I was 18, I really wish my parents put me in when I was a kid..

DD is doing it for practice. She has been ivited to participate in the Internation Performing Arts Conference in Hollywood this summer so she needs to practice being judged and such.
DD is singer (see pics in siggie) and we will see where life takes her either with singing or pageants or maybe this is just a passing thing. Whatever it is I am proud of her and all she has done.

You know you can continue pageants for a number of years. If not as a participant, then as a director or such. It would keep you in the game.

Wow, I was invited to iPAC too, for the one last October. My ultimate goal is to be a model, but when I competed at my last state pageant I was chosen with a $500 prize to go to iPAC in Hollywood. But it was a total of about $3,000, and I didn't have that all at once.. I always was going to try ProScout, it was the same concept, in Anahiem for about $600, but I never did either.. You must be very proud! What a talented girl! :wizard:

Did you try to fundraise? We are doing all we can to get the money. We signed up for iGive.com and hope that can help some. I also have sold thing on ebay. We plan to have a yard sale and ask all our friends to donate items.
I am thinking everyday of new ways to make the money to go. I just don't want to miss it, because it could be her one chance and I won't know that if I don't try my best.
I think you should try again if you can find a way to go.

I was told I was invited in August, and I need to turn all the money in by September.. And it was way to soon to fundraise.. By the time I got home from state, I didn't even have time to think and they money was due.. I have an opening for the next couple I think.. So we'll see!! :upsidedow
