Princess Fantasy Fare?

Have any of you attended the PFF? Do you need to be early for it, or if you arrive at the time it starts, is that okay!?
Is it as amazing as it sounds!? or will my DD4 get bored!??! Any tips!?

Oh, I've never heard of it so can't answer your questions. In fact, I have questions of my won - mainly what is it? We have a May trip in the planning stages and I thought it might be fun to do something with just DD and me (we'll be with 10+ family members).

We went last March..DD4 then LOVED it!!! We were actually lucky and got to see 6princesses! They have 3 ata time, but we were there when they did a switch!! It was a long weight, we got there 30min before it opened and it had a VERY long line!!! I believe it is one of the only places to see the princeses unless you do Ariels Grotto...I have seen Cinderella by the castle before also. We go in 2 weeks!! We will defiantly do the princess fair again..they also have a ball and dance for the kids!! There is a great store were they do hair and face painting..DD loved that also!!!

There are many aspects to the place. There's the very long line to meet princesses. You don't know who you will see, so you have to prepare kids to be flexible and not have their heart set on any one princess. There's the coronation ceremony thing that they have on a schedule. There's also the princess storytime where a princess (undetermined until she comes out) tells her story (my son was chosen to dance with the princess, who turned out to be Sleeping Beauty, by a lady in waiting, and I think it's b/c he asked the ladies in waiting for their autographs). There's a craft area, and there's a shop area.

DS wanted to meet princesses, so we waited in line for about an hour in the cold. Only thing that kept him OK in that line was that there was a family he liked in front of us; otherwise I don't think we would have made it through the line. And he did like the storytime. But we didn't do the other things.

Another little head's up...you see the princesses who are leaving, and that can be difficult. I saw many kids really upset when they saw Cinderella and her prince leaving the area. Then we heard that Mulan was there, but by the time we got to the front of the line she was gone. So try to distract anyone who might be upset by that sort of sighting, and ignore all rumors of who is there.

So the PFF is like an all day thing, and they sorta come and go. Oh I thought it was like a performance type thing and it last half an hour and that was it!

So if you have a princess obsessed DD, like I do, could you spend a long time there? Should we plan for like half a day, or is it too busy to do everything!?

It is and isn't a day long thing at the same time. There's always princesses to meet and crafts to do, but the story time and coronation ceremony are at set times.

If you want to see princess without the wait of the PFF, there are a few options in DCA. Snow White is 70 this year and she is being honored at the Animation Building with a special display inside. Snow White is also just outside the entrance posing for photos. She alternates with the Evil Witch. And, just across the 'street' at the show (can't remember the name), Cinderella stays after the show for pictures. Both had little or no lines this past week. This is in addition to Ariel at Disneyland at her grotto.

The show is called "Drawn to the Magic". Sometimes Aurora is there instead of Cindy.

Another princess to meet outside the PFFT is Jasmine at Aladdin and Jasmine's Storytime Adventures at Aladdin's Oasis.
