I just reserved a two-bedroom suite at the DLH. It's been my dream to stay there ever since I was little. I'm really looking forward to it.

However, I've seen on some websites, reviews from people who found the DLH rundown, broken, etc.

What's been the experience of those here?

Since I've already reserved a two-bedroom suite, do you have any recommendations? Is there a specific tower that's better than the others?

Any info you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

We also booked our stay there for April and have heard nothing but fabulous reviews. I think you are also pretty lucky to get a 2-bdr suite. We booked 5 months in advance and they were all booked. I am sure a few people will chime in with their experiences at DLH.

Our experience was good at the DLH. We stayed in a regular room in the Dreams Tower and found it to be very nice, spacious and well kept. :)
We had a view of DTD and loved it.

I hope you enjoy your vacation!

based on my experiences in 06, 05, and 03 DLH was in need of new beds in 07 and new attitudes. . . we were in the dreams tower in 07 06 and 05. . . we had a bad experience from checkin and from that point forward in 07, however we also stayed concierge level in 07 and had not done that before.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Is the Dreams Tower the way to go?

I'm not on the concierge level and I doubt I'll pay for the upgrade.

We're going in August.

We are at the DLH right now! We checked in Friday with no wait and a very pleasant CM. I had booked a standard view room with no requests, and we were upgraded to Dreams tower DTD view. I was so excited. I LOVE the view!! Fireworks from the window - we're on the 8th floor. Room is large & clean, bed is deep mattress I looks new. Housekeeping has been great (& I am leaving $3/day) We requested a coffee maker, but they also have free coffee in the lobby each AM. Bath has shampoo, conditioner, bath gel & lotion. Guest Services is also very helpful and friendly. I booked a hotel tour with they, and you can also book meals, etc. My DH uses the exercise room every day. The pool is heated & lots of fun for the DGD. You will have a great time here! 5 minute walk to the parks!!

Sounds amazing!

Thanks for the info and I'm glad you're having a great time.

I don't know, but I'm looking forward to our two bedroom suite in just a couple of week!! I will take lots of pics! We did upgrade to conceirge so not sure if that will make a difference or not, but I'm excited either way!

I have also heard the bad reviews, and don't know if I would stay in just a standard room there.

Just curious who you booked through?

Thanks!

Lindaowl1: Do you know what brand the shampoo etc. are? I know this sounds like a funny guestion, but I'm hoping its the H2O products like WDW has!!

In the past two years we have had two two room suites. Both time i requested them in the Dream tower, first for grandson's first birthday and second for our 30th anniversary. No luck on either time. The first time we were setup here,

The second time our reservation was messed up and we were given two queen beds for our anniversary in a two room suite in the Magic tower. It was ok we were they for one night before they moved us to the suite two floors below the above one. The suites here are at the end of the hallway and you go into a common door with a 1 room suite on the north side and a room on the other you can leave the doors open to go back and forth. Here are some photos from that visit you may like.

As it turned out the first time was the best.

Thank you soooo much for the pictures. I can't wait for this vacation. I'm going to try and request the Dream Tower (hopefully, it's early enough to get this).

Can we request a floorplan? I saw floorplans through the business meeting site and it looks like there are 2 or 3 plans for the two-room suites (Californian, Ambassador, Pirates).

I agree, those are great pics, thanks for sharing. Did you have conceirge added to your rooms either time? Just wondering if that will make a difference in what tower we end up in.

No concierge, asked for it to make up for the mess up with the reservation - sorry can't do that. The hotel did give us a character breakfast for all of us that was fun, did Minny and friends.

That's a bummer, but at least they three in the character breakfast. I'm thinking we'll do Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast one day.

I called this morning to request a DTD view Sierra/Dreams tower room. The cast member who took my call seemed a bit surprised and said I might want to consider trying to get a Fireworks view room.

What does everything think of this? I guess it'd be cool to see the fireworks from the room, but I figure we're going to be in the parks during that time.

So, from your experiences, which would you choose: DTD view from the Dreams tower or a fireworks view from a different tower?
