Blue Bayou recommendation - Chicken or Prime Rib?

Got a question from the wife - Which is better? The chicken or prime rib at Blue Bayou. I always get the Monte Cristo (Absolutely love it!), but the wife is trying to decide for next time there on what to try.

Also, has anybody ordered the Monte Cristo PB&J from the kids menu? Sounds interesting!

:D

My bf LOVED the prime rib. Prime rib just looks too "alive" for me to get past my nose.

I ordered the prime rib for dinner. I thought it was very tender, and cooked very well. I haven't had the chicken though.

The kids Monte Crisco PB&J was discusting. My 3 year old and 5 year old wouldn't eat it. DH & I each tried a bite. Nasty. No one would eat more than one bite. It's just the Smuckers Uncrustables sandwich deep fat fried. So gross.

I had the Prime rib and it was way too undercooked for my liking. I like things to be dead before they hit my plate...

Next time we might just go for dessert, there wasn't much that seemed appetizing for us (then again the food is much better than most other places in DL). We're just picky LOL.

Everyone in my party had the prime rib at lunch last Monday, but I had the cajun salmon, which was excellent. Oh, and I can't recommend the spinach (as a choice of side dish) highly enough! :thumbsup2

If you're talking about the Tesoro Island Chicken, I didn't care for it when I had it. I found it to be much too dry, but you never really know how they're going to cook something from one time to the next. Someone else might order it and have it turn out great. Didn't happen for me though.

I had the Salmon last year and it was good. We are going again in a few weeks..not sure what we are going to have...

I love the chicken. It has never been dry for me. Very juicy actually, and the sauce is great.

I ordered the Tesoro chicken when we went and I thought it was very good. The sauce had a wonderful flavor, although I found it to the be a bit salty. We ordered the child's prime rib for my four year old and he devoured it. I didn't think he'd like anything else on the menu, and after reading the critiques of the chicken drumettes, nuclear macaroni and cheese and crustables monte cristo I'm glad we ordered the prime rib, it's only a few dollars more than the other kid's items.

I had the Prime Rib at the beginning of Jan. and it was delicious!!! I like mine juicy and rare though so it was perfect. That night my DBF had the ish and we shared, we loved both dishes. The last time we were there, at the end of Jan. we did lunch, I had the Monte Cristo (OMG YUM) because I love it and DBF had the Tersoro Island Chicken. We shared again and his chicken was delicious!!! Juicy, moist and so good. Not salty at all. So, I would go with either really, it just depends on how you like your Prime Rib. It is bloody. LOL
