We are heading to DLR in a mere 26 sleeps! YIPEEE! I was wondering if there is a grocery store within walking distance, or a short cab ride, to Disneyland Hotel!? My infant daughter is coming with us, and I really don't want to waste suitecase room packing all her necessary food, and was wondering if it woudl be easier to buy it when we got down there. TIA!

I would order groceries from Albertson's. I think the delivery charge is 5 or 10$ definitely less than a cab ride.

We are leaving tomorrow (YIPPEE!) and have the same issue with our 7mo DS. We were going to order from vons/safeway since there is no delivery charge for the first delivery. Plans have changed and we are now going to cab/walk it someplace close since the last delivery time is 1-3pm on the weekends. We don't arrive until about 4pm on Sat and then Sunday is the first day at the park and I am not going to commit to being back at the hotel for groceries. Rather leave the kids sleeping with Grandma and Grandpa and DH and I go hunt and gather!

We ordered from Albertson's as we ran into the same time situation with Von's. Albertson's also has a smaller window of delivery......an hour and a half. The DLH bell desk held our groceries and refrigerated our cold items for us as we were having an early dinner.

When we ordered from Albertsons, they asked that we be in the room to sign for our delivery. Did the front desk sign for you? I didn't know that Albertson's let them do that. If so, that would be SO much easier for us next time!:)

We did Von's at DLH. The bell desk signed for everything and we didn't have to be in our room. Bell services then brought the food up to us when we called for it.

There is a place that you can put a note on your order on the checkout page. I indicated that the bell desk has permission to sign for my order. We were not and did not have to be in the room. I did let the bell desk know that the order was coming.

Thanks.....sound great! We were going to be in the room the last time anyway, so I guess I didn't see the place to put the little note since it didn't matter then. But for next time, this will work out great. I'm glad you 're having a good time at DL!:)

Thanks. We had a great time. We had 4 days in the parks and took a day trip to Legoland. We won dream fastpasses three of the four days (we didn't need them but did use a couple of the tabs yesterday). We stayed in the parks yesterday until about 1 p.m. and then DS wanted to swim in the pool (yes, it was freezing but he did not care). We went back in about 4:30 and the crowds set in. Space was 60 min. wait, Matterhorn was wrapped around the mountain and Nemo was well.......normal I guess. We opted to do both parades........ELP was AWESOME and it was our first time seeing it. It was really cool to see the DL parade at night rather than the day. We watched the fireworks from our DTD view room and I actually could lay in bed and watch them from the balcony window.

Glad you had a great time. Ah yes......swimming in outdoor pools this time of year in CA is nothing for us Northwestern people....LOL. My DS would have done the same thing! It must've been great to be able to lay in bed and see the fireworks from the balcony window....how awesome! And....you got to see ELP. We saw it last year for the first time in many years and my DS had only seen a portion of it when he was very little. We loved it too and I still have that music stuck in my head...LOL.:)
