Ok guys (and gals), I'd like to try a new game here, and let's see how far we can get. The next poster will put up a disney fact. Can be anything pertaining to Disney. Let's see how long we can keep it going.

I'll start....

Did you know- Walt Disney only attended one year of high school?

Did you know- Walt Disney never intended EPCOT to be a theme park?

Did you know--That DAISY was not known as DAISY at first---she was named DONNA in Donalds first movie DON DONALD in 1937,,she became Daisy in 1940-----

Did you know- Walt Disney's own voice was the first film voice of Mickey Mouse, and he continued speaking for Mickey for many years?

Even after Walt had long-since retired from regularly doing this job for the cartoons in theaters,
he returned to the recording studio to voice all of the show "opens and closes" as Mickey on the original Mickey Mouse Club TV shows.

thread isn't going as well as i'd like...kinda like an old dog with rabies...ouch.
anyways...here's another disney fact.

WDW encompasses 30,500 acres- making it approximately the same size as San Francisco, CA.

Just give it a little time. It'll catch on! :thumbsup2

Here's mine:

Did you know that Paul Winchell, the original voice of Tigger, was a ventriloquist star on TV and in movies in the 1950s and 60s? He was also an amateur medical inventor who held several patents in artificial organ development.

Keeping with a semi-Tigger theme:

Did you know that Jim Cummings, the current voice of Tigger and Winnie the Pooh, is also the narrator of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth?

Did you know that the Adult Simba puppet in the Legend of the Lion King show requires 5 people to fully operate.

Did you know that Big Thunder Mountain is the tallest "mountain" in Florida at 197 feet. Splash Mountain is next followed by Space Mountain at 180 feet.

Did you know that if you fall in the water on Its A Small World , you are required to have a tetanus shot.

(this is a rumor I heard...but i believe it!! That water is nasty!!)

Did you know that Its a Small World is the longest unsupervised ride, meaning there are no security cameras in Its a Small World.

Did you know that on the opening day of Animal Kingdom April 22 1998, the parking lot was closed just 20 minutes after the park opened!

DYK...the entire DisneyLand park fits inside the parking lot of Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park?

So... the song, "Let's fly a kite" from Mary Poppins was allegedly included because the kite is a symbol of the women's fraternity Kappa Alpha Theta, or which Walt's wife and daughters were initiated into.

Did you know...that Fulton's Crab House at DTD was originally named the "Empress Lilly"? Lilly was Walt Disney's wife's name.
